If you're struggling to get into a comfortable breathing rhythm while running, the first thing to change is your pace. Slow down! In my experience, I do nose in and out breathing when in a cruising pace, a nose-in mouth-out breathing when accelerating or climbing uphill and full-on all mouth breathing when sprinting for dear life. I've also found out that "giving birth" breathing pattern of two short nasal inhales and a medium mouth exhale is great for sustained high pace runs. not sure if it will work with others but it does for me.

I ran my 2.4 km(1.49 miles) by breathing out on a step and in on one step ,it helps because when the feet hits the ground ,it shakes the body and helps me breath out and breath in,when I start to get tired I check my form and keep my head and back straight ,watch my pace and shake my head to keep from stopping ,I also clench my fist when I feel tired and look up when I feel tired ,at the end of the run I keep jogging because you don't know how that actually helps ,I saw the difference,when I stopped and immediately sat down ,I start to get headaches and pain in the abs and stitches(I don't know if I spelt it correctly),I also experienced collapsing when I stopped because the sudden stop makes me sweat a lot ,for me when I stop I jog until I reach the lint where my throat starts to feel normal and my muscles start to relax ,then I move to a walking pace when my breathing starts to slow down and my heart doesn't pump as hard ,then I only seat down after a few sips of water ,if you think 2.4 km(1.49 miles)is a lot ,I'm a 14 years old boy who ran that in 8min 27 seconds ,so yeah this breathing technique also helps ,but my advice is just please don't seat down ,it just hurts a lot more later

I know I’ve heard nose-mouth and mouth-mouth, but I’ve been learning how to breathe only through nose-nose. There’s reasons why a lot of runners have bad dental hygiene and one of the reasons is because majority breathe through mouth. While I know you’re going to have a runny nose when you begin breathing nose-nose, it’s honestly very effective in my experience. I haven’t experienced any stitches or stomach pain for a while. My breathing is less exhausted and it’s mostly just leg exhaustion now. In case anyone wants to know, I run with 3:3 breathing

Nose in mouth out is the worst. Seriously feels like my lungs are tearing apart.
@evanwatling38976 жыл бұрын
Andy Dwyer Try losing some weight then andy
@francesco19986 жыл бұрын
Andy Dwyer Do mouth in nose out, this is because the mouth in puts air into your lungs the fastest, kind of like how when people want to beef up their engines they’ll put a bigger intake on their car. Then, breath out through the nose, cars also need to eject the air, they do so with their exhaust manifold and tailpipes, humans can’t just keep farting out their ass like cars can so they won’t have as efficient breathing, but you can push that out through your nose, not your mouth, and here’s why; in & out through your mouth would cause the mouth to do dry, which gives the feeling of being dehydrated, which makes you tired, nose in nose out doesn’t give you enough oxygen, nose in mouth out, is not only slowly putting in oxygen, it’s releasing the oxygen much faster, so you’re not getting enough to begin with, and you’re releasing any small amount of oxygen that you have too quickly for your lungs to get good use out of them. Hence why they feel like they’re tearing apart. So, the proper breathing technique would be mouth in, nose out, because you’re getting air in much quicker and more air in because your mouth is bigger than your nose. And then nose out because the air stays in your lungs longer allowing the lungs to harvest the oxygen for slightly longer periods of time giving you that extra boost you need.

@@francesco1998 man don't put wrong idea's in someone's brain When u take air through nose it contains oxygen which our body (lungs) use and release co2 so there is no oxygen left only co2 so you need to take rid of it as fast as possible by throughing it out through mouth and again slowly take air (oxygen) through nose and it is not comfortable in starting becoz its new for lungs and u had not enough practice so it takes a while to adopt

Nose alone is too hard (plus snot comes out of your nose more often) and mouth you're letting way too much air out. One thing I learned from my years of running is that, if you can calm your breathing, you can keep going for a lot longer. Good to know I been doing it the right way lol.

Another trick is to try and get as relaxed breathing as much as possible which means no facial grin, no shoulders shrug and other unnecessary body movements that take away oxygen due to muscle contraction. Use forward lean and prioritize using feet and ankle to catch your body on the lean, once you master this, try to adjust your cadence accordingly and increase gradually until you can maintain relatively relaxed breathing while running consistently. Lastly, keep practicing, the more you run, the more you understand your body's running mechanics for the most optimal and effortless running + breathing.

I found just letting your body do what it wants worked. At first it wants to suck in air so just do it. Now it just does what it wants calmly. You can over complicate things. Its just breathing at the end of the day, let your body do what comes natural and over time it will naturally adapt to make it easier.

Also get the BreatheEasy Lung Exerciser to quickly tone breathing muscles and open airways. The inhalation exercise is very meditative.

Three points to keep in mind. 1. Breath from the diaphragm. 2. Inhale nasally. 3. Exhale while humming. (The humming sound utilizes the nitrogen in the air to bound with oxygen synthesizing it to become nitric oxide. Nitric oxide is a natural viagra. The air is 78% nitrogen and 21% oxygen.)

Close but not quite but is rt idea. Exhale make hissing sound, better mix of gases than hummming
