PROPER HOTEL Santa Monica is SO DISAPPOINTING...

Such a disappointment, especially considering the room cost over $500 a night. The design is nice, but the hallways and public areas appeared very dark at night. The lighting definitely needs improvement. I’m always amazed when designers forget to consider functionality and comfort in their work. I wonder if that marble table is just too heavy for the flooring beneath. And that breakfast area just seems so uncomfortable. Terrible customer service! With any water outage all guests should be notified immediately, and bottled water brought in for guests. Santa Monica is so beautiful, I would hate for poor hotel stay to negatively affect a vacation there.

Absolutely agree on everything you mentioned. The design is nice, but the hotel was not welcoming at all. There was so much attitude from the stuff … We called them to ask for some water and they never even bother :( it wasn’t back on until noon, very disappointing. For us it was a staycation, so we were just happy to come back home :)

Why would they put the price on items? Kind of tacky hahaha! Sorry about not getting your benefits! Glad u like the common area though! Don’t think I’ll be considering this hotel! Part of the video was a little dark. My goodness too many hazards and no way I can stay there! Thanks for showing us!

Right? Bathrobes had price tags 🏷 too, so did every cream and soap at the sink 😂

. This hotel is not "right on the beach " This hotel is one mile + from the sand...... No running water .(?) hmmm

it’s actually “right on the beach” by LA measures 😂 it’s about 0.5 mile and you can walk for 10 minutes. They probably do have running water most of the time, we were just not lucky 🍀
