I own the l5 44 mag version. Doesn't like some ammos had 3 jams and later with heavier grain had one failure to feed. But I love it.

I plan to get the L5 44 magnum using 240 grain XTP. I never wanted a Desert Eagle because it's not a practical gun but the L5 seems like it is. I still wouldn't buy a 50 ae though. Can you shoot it with one hand? Can you carry in a belly holster? Is it better with light or heavier grain? I normally go with 300 grain but there's no nickel plated XTP in 300 grain for 44 magnum

Good tips and video, does this model fire the largest 50 caliber load available or its limited to a smaller 50 caliber load ? Also the NY law you mention is a restriction on weight?

I like how magnum research is basically saying, dont shoot the gun like a pussy and it wont malfunction.
@MrScubajsb6 жыл бұрын
Arian Kukaj yep. I found that out. If you limp wrist it it will catch the casing, looking like a jam. Or if you put your hand underneath it prevents the mag from being able to cycle ammo properly. These things are tanks are work flawlessly if you know how to hold em!

Do not put your off hand on the bottom of the magazine. It will cause feeding issues. Wrap the hand around just like you see him doing. Use the heavier ammunition and it will cycle. They have a pdf on their page that tells you the preferred ammunition for each model.

Lol for real dude, I just bought a black desert eagle chambered in .50ae cause the ammo at the retailer I bought it from had a great deal on 300 grain hornady ammo at $42 for 20 rounds and that’s the same I pay for my .45 lc; I also bought 20 rounds of .500 magnum for $45 there! I’m gonna stock up on it every time I go cause I feel like next year the price of ammo is gonna be like it was a few years ago

this lightwheight versions are so fucking ugly! i really like the mk XIX till 2010 receiver, mk XIX till 2010 slide, XIX barrel with the weaver rail, mk XIX muzzle brake. aimpoint micro h-1 (silver) or the leupold 4x scope (silver). thats my favorite desert eagle and it was so hard t get this configuration because i'm from germany. three long years but now i'm happy.🤘🏻👀🤘🏻
@awsstudios5 жыл бұрын
Doesn’t look smart, I would have to say a weaver stance isn’t the best way to go about shooting this if you really wanna shoot fast please please learn a better way to shoot it’s gonna save you long term, also Jerry Mitchulek has an awesome training video for this so I encourage all of you to go and check it out.

If you're in a life and death situation which would require you to draw this firearm you don't and won't have the time to think to perform the absolute posture the Deagle DEMANDS, that's why this gun CAN NOT be dependant upon, it is a expensive joke of a range toy
@Delimon0076 жыл бұрын
I somewhat agree but it takes less than a second to get the correct stance that you are supposed to be using for accuracy purposes anyway

I went hunting in Alaska with a group of friends and was thinking of using my DE .50 as a sidearm, I bought some buffalo bore hardcast 380 grain rounds just for Alaska Grizzly. I tested this ammo and had no hang ups on the range. But had second thoughts because the range is a no stress environment and the wilds are a different matter that I wasn't going to risk my life with a gun that demands you stand a certain way to guarantee you more than the first shot. I took my S&W 460XVR instead. I love my Desert Eagle but will not depend on it to protect my life.
@isaiahmarquez97176 жыл бұрын
Sounds like you need to lift more. Put some ball sack into it or it’s just not for you. No biggie.
@niceguy606 жыл бұрын
What you posted had absolutely no relevance and I'm sure it's coming from someone who has never held the gun let alone owned or even fired one and certainly has absolutely zero experience handling it or the balls to try but ironically is lecturing others. I am sure you will falsely argue the contrary though FTF issues are a common fault to all who actually own the weapon combined with the fact THE GUN WILL ONLY OPERATE WITH A SELECT FEW factory loads so you can't use any type of brand name ammo. The Desert Eagle will jam if you don't stand a certain way, it will jam if you don't feed it a select manufacturer ammo, no other firearms have these foolish faults. You put your ball sack and life on the line and go into predator country with it, you would know better if you actually were speaking from experience
@isaiahmarquez97176 жыл бұрын
You’re the one with no experience. You’re drawing on “internet” knowledge, ie, other people’s word. I had two .50 AE Desert Eagles years ago. I currently have a .44 magnum Desert Eagle. Never had an issue with any of them. Since you made ZERO mention of ever having had one, yet you attack it with such vitriol, one HAS to assume your outrage towards the Desert Eagle comes from what you’ve read. It isn’t practical for damn near anything, but let’s be fair. It requires STRENGTH and hot ammo to function. That means it isn’t for everyone.
