For sorting boards, I use two dumpster lids wired together at the hinge points. Free (I was a garbageman as well for a while), nearly indestructible, and light. Being on a hinge, you can block/direct the animal/group in a multitude of ways. Such as having one side on their side, a fenceline on the other side, and the other side to their front to make them go backwards. Or sorting off one hog going forward, and you want other hogs that went along with it to go back past you, you can change the angle to "narrow up" to let them back past you, and have the animal you're moving in the "V" of the hinge. I highly encourage anyone who hasn't used a hinged sorting board to make/buy one, it changed the way I can handle hogs.

There needs to be cameras video taping inside slaughter plants and factory farms, to be able to tape crulety or animal abuse involved.

Look at the glass walls project which involves Dr Grandin, its shows very well how a meat packaging plant works from the very bening to the very end!

God! I think this is such a great idea. Then anyone can login to a website and it will make cruel people think twice. Not the ultimate solution, but a great one.

As a vegan I can appreciate Temple Grandin. People shouldn't eat meat for the animals, the environment and health reasons but I also realize most people do eat meat and thanks to Temple at least stress to the animals is kept to a minimum.

I'm a long-term vegetarian and feel the same as you in terms for my respect towards Temple Grandin. My vegetarianism began as simply personal choice as I never liked the idea of eating animals from a very young age (e.g. I would always feel sad as a little girl in butcher shops when my mother bought meat) and I am lucky in that I have kept myself healthy on a meat-free and fish-free diet. In my adulthood, I now see my vegetarianism as an important action in regards to the environment and the idea of feeding our world population of 7.8 billion people. There are always going to be people who eat meat, as it is in human nature. Temple Grandin has carried out amazing work about humane treatment and I am intrigued to find out more this. However, and on the subject of the environment and feeding people, the huge amount of meat that humans eat is not sustainable, nor necessary... our bodies need protein, yes, and meat is an easy and natural source, but do we really need the amount that we consume in the west, and especially when other people in other parts of the world are starving? It just seems like so much malnourishment of humans and death of animals when so many people still go hungry. I am currently reading Philip Lymbery and Isabel Oakshott's Farmageddon, so, like everyone, I am still learning and reflecting.

As a livestock truck driver, I have to say it’s a bit of a learning curve but this woman has absolutely revolutionized the livestock handling scene. I do eat meat, and I’m also very happy to know and participate in proper handling and harmless handling.

As a plant based eater who actually has cows of my own I've seen the awful handling of many other cows and animals. I always try to treat mine with respect and love because all animals are living breathing creatures with souls whether unevolved humans choose to believe this or not. I only watched this for ideas on driving aids. Paddle boards do not work when your cows are use to being groomed and loud noises. Not much phases them for the safety of any human and especially them. We all need to realize humans are born to be herbivores just based on our digestive system. We are not meant to eat other souls or creatures. We are here to take care of our precious animals, plants, trees and to treat mother nature with respect. So please anyone reading this know that all creatures big and small have feelings and souls. Treat them all with kindness and be patient. My Miko and Butters who are steers thank you❤
