Properties of a rhombus,rectangle, and a square
A rhombus, rectangle, and square are all polygons.
In addition each of these are quadrilaterals, which mean they have 4 sides.
A rhombus is a quadrilateral with 4 equal sides. A rhombus is most commonly recognized as a diamond, but they are not limited to this shape.
Let's take a look at 14 properties of a rhombus.
A Rhombus is a Quadrilateral, which means it has four sides, and the sides of a rhombus are congruent.
The opposite sides of a rhombus are parallel.
The opposite angles of a Rhombus are congruent.
The diagonals of a rhombus are perpendicular.
The diagonals of a Rhombus create form four congruent interior triangles.
The diagonals of a rhombus bisect each other which means they cut each other in half.
A rectangle has opposite sides that are congruent. in addition a rectangle has 4 right angles, and diagonals that are equal.
A rectangle is part of the quadrilateral family.
A rectangle is a plane shape with 4 sides.
In addition, it has several other properties
A rectangle is a 4 sided polygon, with opposite sides being parallel.
In addition, a rectangle has 4 right angles and the sum of the interior angles add to 360 degrees.
The diagonals of a rectangle are equal length
The diagonals bisect and create two equal triangles.
Opposite sides are equal and parallel
All squares are rectangles, but not all rectangles are squares.
A square is also a quadrilateral with four equal sides plus four right angles. The diagonals of a square bisect one another, plus bisect opposite angles which creates two angles of 45 degrees.
A square is a plane shape that is a quadrilateral that is 2D so it has length and width but not height.
A square has 4 congruent sides 4 equal sides.
Along with these 4 sides a square has 4 right angles
The diagonals are perpendicular and create 4 right angles.
The diagonals bisect each other.
The diagonals of a square also bisect opposite angles
and create equal 45 degree angles.
The diagonals create congruent triangles
Triangle ABC is congruent to ACD
A square can be considered a rhombus with four right angles or a square with 4 equal sides.

The graphic at 3:11 is incorrect, the arrows point to the parts of the bisected segments but one should point to one part of the other bisected segment.

OK cool, I got that if you make a diagonal line from the bottom left to the top right, that line creates a 45 degree angle I sorta knew that but now I'm certain. What I was really hoping for is if you make a line from the bottom left to the center of the right most face... what angle would that be on? 30 degrees?
