Hi PropertyLim Brothers, i saw you have Episode 44 on upgrading HDB to Private Property. I have a question regarding upgrading EC (say MOP) to a new Private Condo project (say TOP 2023+) . According to some property agents, i cant book an unit and hold for 2-3 years. And me and my wife can only outlay the 29% based on the assumption EC is sold and applying a new loan, does this mean i have to sell EC and go to rental for 3 YEARS before the new private condo TOP? i felt insecure doing this and having to pay 3 years of rental. Is this the best approach?

Must the Husband and Wife decouple before they can buy 2 separate properties (without paying the levy for owning 2 properties)?
