The Bible tells us to have no other gods before us. God used Mary to birth Jesus, the immaculate conception. We cannot look to Mary as a God, the Bible tells us this. Read the Bible and see for yourself.
@RestoreJustice675 Жыл бұрын
@@constancegarcia4260 There is One Lord, One Faith, and One Baptism. Not thirty thousand. Jesus established One Church not 30 thousand. "NO MAN TAKES THIS AUTHORITY UNTO HIMSELF BUT ONLY THOSE AS CALLED BY GOD AS AARON WAS"..... The apostle Paul was not God either , yet people came to Him to be prayed for. They used to take aprons from him to attempt the heal people. Simply because people invoke Saints does not mean they invoke them as God. And you can bet there is no greater saint than our Lord's mother Mary. By what authority do you sling allegations??? And if your answer is the Bible, then read it all including the verse that says "Judge not lest you be judged. Condemn not lest you be condemned". "The church is the pillar and foundation of Truth". And again Jesus built one Church on Peter, not thirty thousand.

I would think clapping is clearly inappropriate for Holy Mass and other solemn rites. But in this venue it might be appropriate as long as it is directed solely to Our Lord or Our Lady alone, NOT at anyone or anything less. The problem in our culture is that clapping is so associated with the entertainment industry and other vulgarities. As mentioned in another reply, it was a practice of praising God with joy in ancient Judaism. We probably should discern it also as a practice associated with charisms of joy. Father is very devoted to the Most Blessed Sacrament.

Dear Father my only child is going through a second divorce. Both her husbands have treated her very badly the first one was a psychopath and the second one has been even worse and has used the law against her just because she was weeping and reacting to the way he was treating her. She just wanted to be a good wife but he tried to find fault with everything she did. He goes to church on Sunday but gets bad dreams and has even told her that he has a nemesis who is attacking him. The divorce is going to come through soon but inspite of everything she does not want her divorce to come through. We as parents are helpless. Please pray that a miracle takes place and she is happy again and can be at peace. All we want is for her to be happy.

@@constancegarcia4260 we do it out of reverence for Christ because he was beaten and crucified on Friday. Because his body was beating, broken and laid bare, we look at it as being respectful.

Eileen feels like she sinned by eating meat on Friday during lent. I felt that way before too when I was a Catholic. But, it is not a sin. It is a Catholic thing to give up meat on Friday during Lent. Well if you don't like meat but you love your coffee in the morning you could give up coffee or whatever you enjoy just to deny your flesh. The point is, that it is not a sin to eat meat on Friday during Lent. This is not in the Bible. To deny the flesh is great, when we do this ourselves we realize how much control our flesh has over us. Just wanted her to check it out and not feel like she sinned because she didn't.

I think God sees the hearts more than the manners. I believe He is a cheerful God and if He was here physically with us, I'm sure He would go to a ball game or a car race and clap too. We are His children, and what silly things parents can do with their children out of love. Personally, I don't think God is offended by the clapping, on the contrary, He let's himself be praised because He knows it's done out of love.

At Calvary, those who applauded were Christ's persecutors, His jailors, His enemies. Mary, Christ's immaculate Mother, stood in silence, her heart broken, at the foot of the Most Sacred Cross. VERY DISRESPECTFUL INSIDE THE HOLY CHURCH.
Is it possible here to have an open-minded discussion of what religion is? Oh well, even if you can't bring yourself to challenge your belief system I can do it for you. All you have to do is keep reading. New ideas are not scary to people of above average intelligence so what do you have to lose, besides a belief system whose 'church' doesn't allow questioning of the scriptures? Ask yourselves if you would believe anything anyone told you was true but forbade you from questioning it if it weren't of a religious nature? C'mon now, be real. Humans are gullible enough without intentionally turning off their 'logic and reason' capabilities! As the famous astronomer Galileo Galilei once said, and I quote; "I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with senses, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use and by some other means to give us knowledge which we can attain by them." Let's dive in shall we? What is religion? Well, all religions are cults by definition and acts. Though there is a stigma attached to the word 'cult' it is synonymous with religion. So what is a religion/cult? When defining a word one must look at how history defines it. Religions/cults have existed almost as long as humanity because we are small beings with small minds, extremely short-lived and are made to suffer from birth to death. Under such circumstances it isn't hard to understand why humans 'created' belief systems that 'promised' eternal bliss for the 'true believers'. Because of the unscrupulous nature of humans and our propensity for lying/manipulating each other for personal gain.......religions/cults were born. Let's be real here. For as long as humans have walked the earth there have been religions/cults hindering every step toward scientific advancement and enlightenment. Religions/cults have had a hand in every violent conflict humanity has suffered. Monotheistic religions such as Christianity, Judaism and Islam are a few of the currently 'accepted' belief systems/control mechanisms being used to manipulate and control the masses. It is the 'secure buffer' between the wealthy ruling elite and the masses they loathe and fear. Religions/cults preach forgiveness of those who wrong us rather than seeking justice, just ask all the children who have been victimized by pedophilic priests. The relationship between religions/cults and governments has existed almost from the beginning of both. It is why these religions/cults enjoy the 'tax-free' status even though they own massive amounts of property and their influence over political agendas is always on full display. 'In God We Trust'? No. Trusting in a deity that has not made an appearance in over 2000 years is just plain stupid. There is no 'personal God' watching over us or if there is........they are most definitely NOT benevolent as indicated by the never-ending suffering that goes on here abated only by death. Look around you and see all the death and destruction that will eventually consume you. What is religion? It is a lie that has kept humanity from escaping this state of constant misery......nothing more.

Why do you care if or why I believe in God? All that you wrote (and I read it all) would indicate that You don’t believe in God. So what is it to you about my belief? I love you because Christ loves you. God Bless
