Yeah I kinda felt like pastor was making fun of it also. I truly believe it’s God who is holding every star and planet in place. The sun and moon. It is a celestial event and I know there is always meaning behind each and every celestial event. It’s not across the world however it is definitely an x across America. The same x in 1811 and 3 months later America received the greatest earthquakes ever. I don’t believe that’s a big joke or a nothing. And it’s not JUST AN ECLIPSE AS HE CALLED IT. It’s an amazing event that only my Father in Heaven can create. Very disappointed in the way he calls those who are watching and excited about the rapture or our Kings return sensationalist. They are excited about being with Jesus. And so am I. I pray pastor stops being one who mocks those who are waking up every single day to find a reason to be excited about His return and or the rapture of the church. We are the body of Christ, we are all made differently and not all of us just chill. It takes all kinds to make up the body of Christ. Not just the perfect chill pills. I’m so disappointed in the way he spoke about it all. God says for those who have eyes to see let him see! Those are Gods words, not mine. I believe this is Gods way of letting America know to repent and that His hand of protecting America is being removed. My heart was crushed at how he made it seem like all of the ones that are so excited about this eclipse should just chill. It’s just an eclipse. Huh…my Father makes that happen. Brett said: "And there's a spiritual immaturity when we start focusing on ourselves in Bible prophecy, when really Israel is the centerpiece and Jerusalem is the epicenter of all things Bible prophecy. So an eclipse that goes across Iowa is probably not going to be something, it's happened many, many times before......we know when solar eclipses are going to be, to the day and the hour. We know the exact track, and there's nothing mysterious or revealing about those. So, we gotta be not spiritually immature when we start discerning some of these signs of the times."

I’m definitely not saying the rapture will happen April 8th, but I also believe that it’s ignorant to completely dismiss the solar eclipse as a potential sign or warning from God. He said there would be signs in the sun, moon and stars. I think it would be wise to pray about it and ask God for discernment.

Sometimes I wonder if that verse is not translated quite right. Rather, that the sun, moon and stars ARE signs. It has to do with God's image. The Sun is the center of our solar system the way God is the center of all things and our lives (like the planets) revolve around Him! The Sun gives it's light to the moon. (self-explanatory) The moon doesn't have its own light. And you may have heard about the signs in the constellations figuring the Gospel...we have Leo (the Lion--Lion of Judah), Virgo the virgin (virgin- mentioned in Gen 3), Draco the Dragon (the dragon is a figure of Satan). Eclipses (solar & Lunar) happen all the time--the last solar one was in 2017. We don't need, necessarily to assign a spiritual meaning to them.

Eclipse hysteria is for KZbin "prophets" and social media immature Believers. He clearly explained why. Absolutely love these prophecy updates, always reasonable yet watching. In 2 Thes 1:6-8, Paul says our relief will come when Jesus returns from Heaven in blazing fire with His mighty angels to execute vengeance on the wicked. This is the same thing Jesus said, “immediately following the trouble of that time” we will see the sign of the Son of Man, and He will gather His elect…this happens towards the end of the 70th week.

I love this church and Pastor Brett's prophecy updates but I was so disappointed and surprised in how he just dismissed and even scoffed at the significance of the solar eclipse tomorrow. Of course, we don't know the day or the hour of the Rapture, neither does Christ Himself but God only. BUT the Heaven's declare the glory of God and He uses the Heaven's to give messages and warnings I believe. There simply are too many amazing co-incidences to ignore about the last solar eclipse solely over America 7 years ago, that went over 7 American towns named Salem (meaning peace), now 7 years later another extremely rare solar eclipse over American only, this time over 7 towns named Nineveh. . There are so many other amazing things that co-incide with scripture. But the paster scoffed at all of this!!!! Also the 2 eclipses form a cross over our country as well as meaningful Hebrew letters apparently.... I think God is trying to communicate to America to repent, turn away from our flagrant sin. Just all the 7s alone seem meaningful in that it is God's number of completion and perfection. We know FOR SURE the Rapture won't happen tomorrow because it will be when we least expect it! But I see Him looking down on mankind, especially Americans right now, saying Hey! I am trying to get your attention! Repent or judgement is coming soon!!!

I agree with you. I am personally of a belief that the rapture can happen before or during the tribulation. Brett dismissed the eclipse and then hypocritically and smugly said “we won’t be here”. But what if you are? Leave some space for your rapture belief crying out loud. So many people will be caught unaware if trouble really brews

@@zerosoma33 The only thing though regarding a mid-trib Rapture belief is that it then loses its imminency. We WOULD know exactly the day and the time of the Rapture because of the exact numbers God gives us specifically in the Bible about the length of the Tribulation. I believe that the Tribulation Saints referred to are those who come to Christ during the Tribulation, not the Church. I think we will be off the planet at that time.....the end of The Church Age would have arrived, and now the focus is on Jacob's Trouble/The 70th Week (the Jews).......Also, His bride (us, the church) would be caught up in the clouds pretty beaten up, and that doesn't seem like something God would do to us. We are rescued from the wrath of God and we are to encourage each other with those words.

Ah the cessationalist. This is just my view. Please pray about what I share with you. It’s not necessarily a non-Christian church but they’re handicapping their ministry. Especially in the prophetic department. Think about this : This church walks off the path and deviates from the core foundations of Christ. Who will be sent of the Lord to tell them they’re in need of help? If they deny the Spirit’s power of the prophetic gifting, they’ll immediately turn the prophet away, and the next, and the next…and eventually perish in God’s judgment. That’s just one of the gifts. Imagine believing no gifts are active today. How can God be alive and active in that church? It’s a dangerous place to be in but at its core maybe not heretical. Ask why people have left and ask the church leaders before God to tell you about the church’s corporate history of sexual sin.

There are many signs. I'm not saying we should not be aware of them. But rather that our focus should NOT be on signs, but on Christ, and making sure we are maturing in the Spirit and doing what He has called each one of us to do...there's accountability in Heaven!

There are a dozen other ‘coincidences’ around this event, so to ignore all of them is to claim God is not sovereign over all things. And to say you are too much in a hurry to cover all the signs Jesus gave us, especially because you want to enjoy cinnamon rolls, is terrible mockery. This is supposed to be a prophecy update of signs and you pretend this is a big nothing?! SMH, normally I look forward to the Prophecy Updates but with this one I am very disappointed. Not encouraged by Pastor Brett’s response. A “once in human history” event is not to be ignored and it is clear Pastor Brett is ignorant of all this eclipse portends. I don’t know anyone who says April 8 is the day of the Rapture. We don’t know what it means yet, but it doesn’t mean nothing, and people would know that if they truly study it. I dont think you should downplay the signs of the times. I love following your teachings but this is a time to express to people to repent and come to Jesus. Nothing is more important than our Lord God we need you to use this time to bring him as the focal point. You say you dont need to be worried bc youll be raptured...shouldnt you be worried about the souls left behind they are your brothers and sisters too. Thats why you need these people to repent so more souls are saved. This isnt from God. HOWEVER, Brett is 100% correct that this regularly-scheduled eclipse over America has ZERO to do with anything regarding Bible prophecy or "being a sign". I was very saddened by reading these comments. It seems we, as Christians, have become a very judgemental group, including snide insults and disrespect. A product of the present day society I'm thinking. Maybe we should be reading His Word more and learn kindness, compassion and self restraint before writing. I truely appreciate the way Pastor Brett teaches the Bible, from beginning to end and have learned so much from his studies. If you don't like the prophecy updates, maybe not tune in for those. Yeah, this prophecy update was very strange to me. Even Brett himself last year pointed out a particular feast day people were getting excited about and he said himself that he would be surprised if we were still here afterward (something to that effect.) I haven't heard anyone claim that the rapture will be that day. I've only heard people suggest that it might be a sign of God's judgment on America and the timing with so many other things is uncanny, including our apparent abandonment of Israel. I normally don't care about things like blood moons or star signs, but this event is sticking out even to atheists. This prophecy update did not sit well with me, as much as I love pastor Brett!
