This song reminds me of last summer. I spent most of it in the park with my friends just sitting in a circle sharing stories, making music and drinking beer till the sun went down. I was so tanned back then... Listening to this song makes me nostalgic for those days and also hopefull for this years summer!

I listened to this song heavy when my brother passed away and remembered our time in the mountain ranges of Utah where we all jammed it. It hits hard every time real, real, real hard. RIP Z. I love you brother.

The most beautiful music in the world I have heard since Peter Steele had gone. It makes me happy and melancholy at the same time. Totally in love with this music.

A friend from work told me about this band and he said to get this album especially. I thought it would be just another metall cd but DAMN.... This is a level of pure bliss that I haven't experienced since my first girlfriend. I sit here with a 2x 7.2 speaker system and it is the closest thing I have ever been to heaven. and NO I am not a virgin ;)

Sitting here, glass of red wine in one hand, listening to Alcest, in my other hand I have Marcus Aurelius: The Meditations. Life is beautiful. To think of how many poor fucking people don't even get to enjoy a fair life, let alone the beauties of music, good food and literature. Heartbreaking. A toast to Neige, and to the poor souls whose destiny lead to less fortuitous destinies.

As most people of my generation, Neige obviously spent a lot of time listening to Smashing Pumpkins while growing up in the mid 90's. I think this song as well as Ciel Errant especially exemplify this. I wonder if Billy Corgan has checked out Alcest yet.

Albeit the lyrics, I've always seen this song as a melancholic farewell to summer... to joy. Well, I guess there's always an end to the summer, for everyone. Hi, autumn, I don't want to bid you welcome, but.. hi. You're necessary, I guess. For us to be humans and all that shit. Hi.
