I love prophet Edd, but I disagree with this statement that you must be rich to preach prosperity. Jesus became poor that we may become rich. Jesus disrobed himself of his status and became like a servant and still preached the gospel to the poor. Paul also says in 2 Corinthians "... poor, yet making many rich; having nothing, and yet possessing everything" YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE RICH TO PREACH PROSPERITY

+DiscernmentInTruth Your statement is well taken and is a legitimate observation. However, I think Prophet Edd is saying that as you dedicate yourself to the service and the preaching of the Word, you rip all the benefits that comes with it; these includes good heath, sound mind, social respect and prosperity in every aspect of your life. I am sure anyone can chose to become rich can and it happens. You don’t have to preach the Gospel or be born again to make money. The difference is what the Bible says in Proverbs 10:22 (KJV) (The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it). Preaches are aware of the tremendous financial requirements to effectively run a ministry. I am sure you can look at the clip above and realize that the Church building needs new tiles on the flood, better sound system (the best one of always reserved for the Prophet), better decorations, projectors, chairs, gates, perhaps air conditioning so as the be able to close those many open gates. It is interesting to note that these demands were not present during the early Church age. Paul and the Apostles would just speak loud and Live to the people. The financial demands of running Churches in this modern age as a structures are huge; you need cameras, filming and editing equipment, computers, and internet connection and more. The Church also have an obligation towards dispossessed communities, abused families, orphans, widows and the rest. It must both preach the Gospel and provide monetary services to whoever in need. This is why it’s important for true Churches to preach the need for the members to give their tithes. Prophet Edd spoke live in a service late last year as he was talking to the Church financial officer that that he has 28 dollars in his account when the year end, but he is very happy because he is investing in Kingdom expansion. I am sure no serious preach be happy when seeing his members go through a lot of hardship while his bank account if full.

+Africa Unite God will supply the need to every man of God. Jesus never lacked anything while he was on earth, but He was not rich. Paul also wrote the statement "my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches and glory in Christ Jesus" but he was not rich. I am not saying that preachers must be poor, but I am saying that the qualification for a preacher to preach the gospel is not his material prosperity. You can be poor and still preach about God's blessings. I know a man who is crippled and works mighty signs and wonders! In his ministry over 20 people were raised from the death. But he is still crippled. This means that what qualifies you as a preacher is not your earthly blessings but your spiritual maturity. Blessings
