These men will be punished most severely.” Same issue with the churches Matthew 21:13 "It is written," he said to them, "'My house will be called a house of prayer,' but you are making it 'a den of robbers.'" Now a church that gets honest funding and uses it to accordingly for the work of God. Rather than the worldly matter then that church may keep on prospering. (Not saying all who do that will keep getting prospering because it is will of God on whom He wants to keep prospering) And for people who use word of God for selfish gains has judgment awaiting for them. Jesus was also God when He chose to become a man but instead of walking around dressed in royal robes (which He could easily have done), He *CHOSE* to live as a humble man with only the basic needs provided for, to teach us how to live in dependence on God. Test your rich church leader by challenging him to sell his fancy houses and cars, and give his money to the poor. Jesus did that to the rich young man, remember? If the body was dead It could even start breathing right away on entering the church grounds even before the pastor arrived there to open the coffin n prayed.
