Prophets of the Restored Church "Harold B. Lee" (1978)

I always felt ashamed of the ban and prayed it be removed. President Lee's position was that it had to come as revelation and not from social pressure. Harold B Lee was a Prophet's Prophet. On at least 3 occasions Thomas Monson told the same story of council he received from Harold B Lee concerning a conflict about his Navy commitment and his Church assignment. At the conclusion of the October 1973 General Conference Gordon B Hinkley gave a talk titled "We thank thee O God for a Prophet" eulogizing President Lee before President Lee's talk titled "Closing remarks". President Lee passed away December 26th 1973 after only 1-1/2 years as the Prophet of our Church. He was 74. He is a minor Prophet the way Joel is a minor Prophet. I am overwhelmed with the belief that when this great Prophet gave those closing remarks, he fulfilled his calling on the earth.
