Thanks for sharing, I live on the Snake river in Idaho and have been studying your work to help repair exactly what happened to this prop. Boat ramps all over have the same appetite for props! God Bless.

Thanks the video. How did you learn to do this?

think of it like a screw going into wood. The higher the pitch, the further the screw goes in. But it takes more effort. A higher pitch prop will make a boat go faster but accelerate slower...generally speaking. The idea is to get a propeller that is pitched so that your boat's engine will reach maximum rpm, typically 4600 - 5000 rpm for an I/O. Too high of pitch and you won't reach that, too low and you can over rev the engine.

Hey buddy how much do you charge to press in a new hub for a volvo penta sx outdrive prop , it is a stainless steel prop ?

Thanks for sharing your tool information. Does that 3m wheel leave a extremely fine brushed finish? If so what do you use to put a polish on stainless? I sharpen knives and I’m always trying different materials that might be faster. I’m sure my stainless is harder hence slower to polish

Do you do custom tweaks for performance or do you only do repairs from damage?

What filler do you use? 308 and 316 just seem too soft.

308 works just fine

I sucked up a rock and it chipped my prop on my Yamaha 2018 gp1800. It feels it’s burning out now or cavitation. The chip is not near as bad as this but would that affect my performance? Thanks
