This is great. My general approach is to kindof swerve in the opposite direction before I make a turn. But I think that this "stop and turn" approach will make it easier to get in the friction zone before the turn - can't wait to try it.
@ProriderCentralTexasYouTube3 жыл бұрын
You you exactly right. It is going to give you a different feel as well and more confidence with the friction zone. Let me know how it goes.

@@ProriderCentralTexasKZbin I kept having issues because my handlebars would lock, throwing off my balance. So I started to put my handlebars in full lock and seeing how long I could keep them that way during the u-turn. It was scary at first, but forcing myself to keep my revs up helps a lot.

@@stephanddd Glad to hear you are working on it. You are right by keeping your revs up makes the motorcycle more responsive. Keep it up!!

Sir why exactly do we have "weak sides" i definitely have a "weak" side, it's turning right that scares me most. I haven't tried this yet, looking forward to trying. Thanks again!! by the way,, you suit that beard!
@ProriderCentralTexasYouTube3 жыл бұрын
I think it a lot of it has to do with where the clutch is. Some people have a harder time finding the friction zone when making left turns due to the clutch being more into the body. And those with shorter arms seem to have trouble with the right turns because the clutch is furthest away from the body and because of this it is difficult to find the friction zone. Another part of it is just feel. Here is an example I give. So I am right handed so if I were to throw a ball left handed it feels awkward but I can still make the throw. So just remember if you do the same inputs you use on your weakside as you do on your strong side the motorcycle will respond the same. So you have to trust it. I know that was kind of wordy but I hope it helped. Ha Ha. I think I will work on a video explaining it and how to work on overcoming it.

I just did this practice, I feel good and in control amazing ideas thank you so much, How about a sharp L shape turn between 20-30 mph I always find myself slow too much

@@ProriderCentralTexasKZbin thanks for your reply, it’s a turn from a main road the cars going 35 mph, the turn is a standard street wide my issue is if I’m in the middle portion of the lane going 30 I’ll do a quick counter steer but I’ll go wide but if I slow down and turn from the inside I’ll fear the cars behind me I’m always avoiding this turn
