Hello Jaeymi! I somehow stumbled onto your channel and boy am I glad that I did. I am a Alaska FA as well and recently transferred base to SEA. I love watching FA youtuber’s vlogs but you are the second person I have come across who work in the same company. I am now subscribed and hope to be following your amazing journey.

I'm a flight attendant and I've been on reserve since I started .... its been a year and a half 🙃 The one pet peeve I have about being on reserve is being on ready reserve lol
@JaeymiZaki2 жыл бұрын
Ohh what is ready reserve? I think it’s so interesting how each airline are so different but similar at the same time haha

@@JaeymiZaki it’s when you have to sit at the airport during your on call shift and be ready to report to a gate in 20 minutes if called 🥲

@@realpristine ahhh I see! We call that airport standby here. Or a lot of us like to call it airport appreciation hahaha 😝 do you call your first class FA, purser or lead? I was so confused when I learned not every airline says “A FA” haha

Thank you !! I’m sitting in the Denver airport waiting for my connecting flight . This was really informative and helpful! I am always sad to leave the islands also. 🌴🏝

Oh my gosh. Your video started with you saying you just left visiting your folks in Hawaii. My heart hurt. I know the feeling so well. Leaving Hawaii and your folks there is something I've been doing for years. Taking off from Hawaii is always so sad! Looks like you got back into the swing of things in Anchorage, though! Happy to see it!

Super informative and explained well. had no idea that reserved could last so long for new hires. Thank you Jaeymi .

Ya it really depends when you get hired on. I don’t know many 5 year reserves.. but I know it could happen if there’s a hiring pause.. for example the pandemic. And yay I’m glad it was helpful! ☺️

Wow i didn’t think something like new hires getting a line right away was even possible, would u consider making a video on helpful tips and tricks on getting your CJO?
@JaeymiZaki2 жыл бұрын
Hi! Ya! It really does depend who hires you and when! And of course, I’d be happy to make a video on cjo! 😄

I enjoyed watching this! Very informative and I appreciate the details..thinking of leaving my corporate job to follow in the footsteps of my parents. My father was a UAL Captain for 34 years, retired in Honolulu, Nu'Uanu Blvd and mother was a 'Stewardess' in the 60's. I am in my early 50's. Anyway thank you so much, you also kept it positive which I appreciate!

Do airlines typically have like a preparation time for when you get out of training? I’m saving up for FA there’s so much that happens after training. I’ve been watching too much KZbin videos lol

Hey Jaeymi! It is sort of like pulling the handle on a slot machine, when 10 o'clock comes around at check in. Bar,Bar, bar, yeah dropped that trip. I get it. This old dog, can learn new tricks. Now the purple dot with employee sitting, means hang out in the crew room on reserve, because it is an on site sit? My job has me on call from quitting time, at 3:30 pm, to 7:00 am, monday thru friday. All day sat/sun 365 days a year. Sucks the life out of you. That's why I would love to walk the trails like you do. Enjoy the rest of the weekend, and have a great week ahead of ya. 🤠🐱

How does seniority work within a graduating class if you’re all graduating at the same time? Is it by experience or age or performance within class?
