Building wealth involves developing good habits like regularly putting money away in intervals for solid investments. The stock market has plenty of opportunities to earn which I myself took advantage of. I made my first million from going diverse, mainly ETFs(stocks, bonds etc), bitcoin , and gold. I am thinking of moving funds from my existing IRAs and old 401ks into a self directed IRA to get out if this whacked market and by real estate to let that fester and ideally collect rental income tax free while value increases. Depreciation seems like procrastination because I paid crazy amount of capital gains because base value so low from depreciation. Great video to see pros and cons and how to navigate. I also like the idea of loaning money. I'm looking at doing real estate deals now where self directed IRA is the bank and financial partner in the deal. Comments encouraged!

I do not recommend third party depositories for precious metals. I made the mistake of storing gold with a Delaware depository and the owner embezzled all the metals and all investors lost their money. Currently frozen assets. As you guys already know, Properly bought real estate can yield 10+% steady with almost NO volatility. This beats the 4% harvest rate of a normal IRA in retirement. Additionally, the property will benefit from appreciation. Add to that, the property can be sold with low risk of loss and $s returned to the IRA to be invested in whatever….

Here's a tip, if you can get $30k+ in a Roth IRA after age 60; you MAY be able to day trade it tax free! Some brokers allow you to trade intraday with a Roth (if not, swing trades are good; I don't like uncontrollable overnight volitility and I'm not a fan of morning volitility either.) This is only for those who are good at it, if not good at day trading; then just work a job or run a business and sock it away in SP500.

@@haiti808 the individual real estate investors are not to blame for inflation.. the government is. And hedge funds like Blackrock have created an unhealthy market in many pockets of the U.S.
