Thank you for your video. I also applied for the PWP role and got and email saying they could not sponsor me. I felt sad because I really love the PWP route. But all hope is not lost. My friend got a sponsored role in the PWP route this year. She has a masters in Psychology. I’m holding on to my dream of working in this industry

Hi, Thanks for this video. This video was really reassuring as it is difficult to work as an assistant psychologist after the master's and I feel reassured that everyone is kind of figuring it out. Thanks for also talking about switching countries and how adapting to a different culture is also something that takes time and effort. I have been thinking about switching countries too and hearing you talk about it just helped me put things in perspective. Thank you!!

Glad it was helpful! Yes, switching countries is always an option available, the pieces always come together eventually ;) and it's good to hear about other's experiences and thoughts!

Looking forward to hearing about countries with a cheaper doctorate program for Psy. And that accepts the uk conversion MSc

Can we have to do another masters after conversion straight away?
@mypsychjourneyabroad3 ай бұрын
Hi @Useryv777! Depending on which route you want to pursue :) If you want for example Clinical or Educational Psychology, then you would need to gain relevant work experience after the conversion, before applying to the DClinPsy/DEdPsy, respectively. You can work in allied psychology professions in between, also to see which role and sector resonates more with you!

If I have done bachelors in management can i do masters in psychology field ??can you please guide me about this ?
@mypsychjourneyabroadАй бұрын
Sure! You can do a Conversion Msc in Psychology like I did. My bachelors was in Business so this gives you the chance to change sectors, although it's not straightforward ;)

@@useruser-gn7ok you can check my video on 'studying a career in psychology: an international perspective' kzbin.info/www/bejne/gXuUlZ-kpL5jbZo. Hope it's useful! In a nutshell, studying an MSc is just the steppingstone or the first step if you want to be a practitioner psychologist. You then need to gain further work experience and training depending on the type of psychology route you're aiming at.

Which masters in psychology can give more opportunities for international students
@mypsychjourneyabroad3 ай бұрын
Hi @catherinekothapally2959! If you plan on being a practitioner psychologist, then you would need a BPS accredited masters (or undergrad), which you can do at various universities across the UK. Feel free to watch my video on: Where can you study a Conversion Masters in Psychology in the UK?
