Hi! I’m actually an international student that got on this year and want to note that having home fees isn’t required for all courses. Scotland courses (so Glasgow and Edinburgh) have a separate funding body and just require that you have the right to work without restrictions. I believe Royal Holloway also has this rule! Everything else is spot on :) and also just owe you a big thank you as your videos helped so much in my application process!!

Hi! Congrats on your offer!! May I ask which uni have you got on this year? Are there any other uni that does not require home fees?
@taylora6312 Жыл бұрын
@@kittyf.6254 Thank you! I got on at Edinburgh and was reserve list for Glasgow. And the unis that don’t require home fees are just the ones I mentioned above - Edinburgh, Glasgow, and I believe Royal Holloway.

Could I ask how this works? Is a work visa sufficient as evidence of the right to work without restrictions? This means you probably had to apply for a job in the UK before applying for the DClinPsy? (If it's not too much to ask, would you mind telling your story? I would love to hear it)

If it’s possible could you say what type of qualifications you did that made them want to choose you?

Hi Sharon! Thank you for this informative video, it has been very helpful :) Would it be possible to interview international trainees that have pursued/are currently pursuing the doctorate about their experience of the application process and the course itself?

Hi Sharon, thank you so much for the video. Do you know if you still need a right-to-work visa if you are going for a self-funded spot?

Hi! I'm an international student, and I've just graduated with a Master's degree in Psychology and Education (conversion) in the UK this year. I'm now planning my next steps and considering future qualifications like BPS, BACP, or HCPC. However, I'm still unsure about the type of experience I should gain before applying for these, and I'm a bit confused about the differences between BACP and HCPC. Could you help clarify what sets these qualifications apart, particularly for someone interested in clinical or corporate psychology? Also, if I want to work abroad as a clinical psychologist or offer psychological advice online, what would be the best path forward in terms of qualifications and experience? Thanks for your insights!
