Yes, it is 2 years in all 4 places New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward, Island and Newfoundland and Labrador. I am a Social Worker-Child/Youth Educator. And i prefer only Atlantic Province in Canada.

Both are good, Calgary has more job opportunities after graduating. You can find survival jobs easily in Edmonton or Calgary though.

For one year course, you get a 1-year work permit, Generally, students choose a 2-year course which gives up to 3 years of work permit. But don't worry if needed you can always enroll for another 1-year course and you will get a work permit for up to 3 years.
