I'm 60 miles out of Fresno. I worked for a company based in Fresno about ten years ago. I'm very motivated on working for a company based out there and potentially moving there. My only fear is that since Fresno is becoming a focus for Bayarea & LA residents that it will not only increase the costs of living but also absorb the housing market. Modesto is a good example of this. I feel if I don't make my move soon I'll be stuck in the sandbox. I simply want to rent but the rental prices have gone up so much that I'm totally stuck in my current situation.

This video is really amazing. She claims you can get to Los Angeles from Fresno and less than 3 hours? Look it up for yourself Fresno to Los Angeles is 225 miles. It takes about a little over three and a half hours. If you can do that in less than 3 hours you got to be going 85 miles an hour and that's not a good idea.

Really? affordable? that's why just for the hell of it called three different restaurants in Fresno area one was Thai one was Italian and one was Mexican for basic dishes and it was anywhere between $16 to $20 per plate, not like when you're in LA when it's about $10 $12. So No - Fresno area is not cheap. The restaurants suck there and they are way too overpriced.
