Our homes are made of bricks as opposed to flimsy materials they use to create housing with in the US.

Is worth noting that is it sunny too though , doesn’t rain every day of the year , is lovely weather in the summer, and also there will be big supermarkets - just not right in the city centre
@AllAboutAnika
@AllAboutAnika Жыл бұрын
Agreed, weather is nice enough in the summer and yes you need to live outside the city for the larger supermarkets

Thinking of moving to London or Dublin, and this was super helpful! I personally find the no vehicle part a pro 😂. Love driving but owning a car costs a fortune in the US too.
@AllAboutAnika
@AllAboutAnika 3 жыл бұрын
Totally agree that the car owning and diving costs in the US is expensive but after 6 years of not having a car and also the pandemic it’s nice to have a car to drive around and get away and also when you are buying bulky items

by the water being hard, do you mean the actual quality of the water or the pressure it comes out of the tap/shower head? when i was in london the water pressure was so sh*t/weak and i could never get my hair fully clean (i also thought maybe the water "makeup" was different too, thats why it just wasn't getting as clean as i'm use to)!! paris was the same. cities like venice and rome had much better water pressure and quality then london and paris did!
@AllAboutAnika
@AllAboutAnika 3 жыл бұрын
No I mean the water has a lot of limescale in it which means it causes your skin to get dry. I am not talking about water pressure.

I hear the comments on cars alot most of the londoners born here we keep a car in the family usually especially zone 2 and on. yeah you might have to park it a couple streets away i dont see the problem cars are expensive in england in genral from insurance to fuel + youll spend the same in the countryside on a house with a driveway usually.
@AllAboutAnika
@AllAboutAnika 3 жыл бұрын
Yeh totally cars are more pricy here and the parking is horrible and pretty inconvenient unless you have a driveway. Yup fuel is also more money here and hence why if I get a car I will likely get an electric one as well so I don't have to pay congestion fees
@princetubby5698
@princetubby5698 3 жыл бұрын
@@AllAboutAnika yup if your a londoner electric is fine unless you have family in the countryside my whole family is from SE london all in zone 2 so it would work for us too.

As someone who currently lives in LA to someone from LA, how would you compare rent in London to LA? Basically I’m trying to figure out “if i can do it here in LA (affording rent) will doing it in London be that difficult” in comparison
@AllAboutAnika
@AllAboutAnika 3 жыл бұрын
I am doing a separate video all about living costs in London. If you live alone in London you can expect to pay £1400-£1800 a month in rent. Just depends on where you live and also how modern/new of a building you are in. The beauty of London is you can live further out from central and save money on rent and just take the tube everywhere. It really depends on your lifestyle choices. I hope that helps :)

Good luck with figuring it if London works for you. One way you will save is on groceries. I think my grocery bill was so much higher in California than London.

I’ve done a number of other videos on this. But essentially you need to get a visa (student, partner or work visa). I’d recommend interviewing for jobs digitally first and then flying out for final round interviews. You can also come and visit for up to 6 months visa free. Good luck with your job hunt!

Would NOT live in London its ok to visit but to live there NO NO NO better places to live in the UK ie Cornwall, Bournemouth, Portsmouth, Brighton known as London by the sea, all these places are a stone throw from the sea and have the best weather being on the South Coast.
