Penang is incredibly safe. I have no problem walking anywhere in Penang, even at night. I can say that it is a lot more safe today than it was perhaps 25 years ago, but it was a different time back then. Nowadays most of the locals are in the middle class, and even what was once considered low-income neighborhoods are undergoing gentrification; today we are more fearful of online crimes than one-the-road ones.

What's the property puchase requirements for Penang under MM2H? Min. RM1MM? Can 2 properties @ RM500k each meet the requirements? From developer only? Overhang properties only?

If you need an MM2H agent, let me know, and I will recommend one.
