You two are so inspiring. As a PMHNP student in my 2nd semester of clinicals, I’m learning so much from the psychiatrist I’m with along with using your handbook. Can’t wait to be where you two are one day.

I've been gaining experience across the lifespan in outpatient, emergency, and inpatient settings. I'm about 1.5 years in, have learned an incredible amount, and am thinking once I hit that 2 year mark I'm going to start building my own private practice. It is refreshing to see other PMHNPs doing the same and advancing the profession.

It’s so hard to find preceptors and mentors in this field. Do you have any recommendations? Thanks for all your videos, they are very helpful! I just started a post masters PMHNP program and my dream is to open my own solo private practice here in SoCal. Your journey has motivated me so much!

I agree with you, it is very hard to find preceptors and mentors as a PMHNP. I found that it is even harder to find mentors who are willing to help you start your own practice as other providers view your new practice as competition.

Hi guys I appreciate both of you taking the time to put together this video but honestly speaking, you are saying lot of general things and ideas, not really diving into subject matter. It feels like a long video without much substance. Sorry about the constructive-criticism. I rather watch two to three short video with great subject matter over watching a long 1/2 hour video

Hey! Totally understandable but if you look at my audience, they are all not experienced psych NPs and are either looking at becoming one or in the process of being one. We didnt wanna talk about high level material because it won't interest them. We decided to focus on generalized topics in this video because of this

I agree 100%! Trying to utilize your page bc most of your video titles apply directly to me, but unfortunately it’s been more of a task than it should be to find the helpful information within the vids on your page because they are so drawn out & dance around getting to the punch lines. So I think what he is trying to suggest is making the info in your vids shared in a more concise, substantial way (not necessarily higher level) just more to the point. Just sharing constructive criticism as a consumer. Thanks!

“I do wonder what might have happened if [at age sixteen] I could have just talked to someone, and they could have helped me learn about what I could do on my own to be a healthy person. I never had a role model for that. They could have helped me with my eating problems, and my diet and exercise, and helped me learn how to take care of myself. Instead, it was you have this problem with your neurotransmitters, and so here, take this pill Zoloft, and when that didn’t work, it was take this pill Prozac, and when that didn’t work, it was take this pill Effexor, and then when I started having trouble sleeping, it was take this sleeping pill,” she says, her voice sounding more wistful than ever. “I am so tired of the pills.” Psychiatrists are just bunch of clowns. I stand to be corrected. Mind you, I am grounded in the health field, so you can't cook up stuff.

This is great! Thanks. Scrubs or business casual while working? I notice Dardi is more the former and you are more the latter.

Thank you so much and I mix it up. Some days business casual and some days scrubs
