We, and our cat, once lived on a sailboat in the Caribbean. We did have one amenity, a head (toilet), but for bathing: Well...Just jump overboard into the ocean with a bottle of liquid Joy! We paid no rent, no electricity (kerosene lamps) and no heat. As for air conditioning, there were the Trade winds. And, if you did not like your neighbors (never happened), you could pick up your anchor and sail away.

We’re off grid on 10 acres in Northern Idaho! Growing organic foods, foraging and raising animals! We live in a cedar yurt that we put on a basement foundation! Connection to Nature is key to blissful existence! Love your vibe! ❤

I couldn’t afford my truck and camper so I decided to move on my paid off school bus with 4 little kids. We live behind my contractor back yard although I hate it I’m grateful to pay $600. It was delightful to see your videos and I’m very proud of you.. keep making memories our kids will always have a great story at the campfires on how they lived on a school bus❤❤

Laura growing up in Northern CA I can verify that paying 2k for rent since I was a young adult was hard. I left CA 5 years ago and financially, it has been a huge benefit but the weather is not pleasant much of the year here. Someday I'll retire and will return to CA and likely buy land and a tiny home in Northern CA ❤. I adore your set up!

totally!!! I toy with the idea of moving out of state sometimes but I'm such a baby when it comes to the weather haha...and my family is here. we do what we can to make it work! A tiny home in northern cal sounds lovely! I'm sure you'll make it happen

Your mom got you a place in BH I think and she wanted you to model? And then you use to go to SoHo House with Doug Hutchinson and some other dudes, I guess you got old so you moved on to other stuff. But you seem so happy and that’s everything. Omg you use to sing I think, and had a really pretty voice. But it looks like you figured it all out and that’s awesome :)

Laska is growing like a weed, such a cutee 🩷 Love your place, I was hoping for a place like that with garden etc. I do have a cozy little camper trailer near gulf in Fl which I love but I'm currently not off grid, so I do have air etc. thank goodness tho , this summer is brutal!
