Awfully short rides, plus the smashup on the beach........jus' sayin'. I surfed many years in north san diego county. Several good breaks, depending on swell direction and wave height. Faves were cardiff reef, oceanside harbor, tamarack st in carlsbad. Past tense, as i'm 75 now.....😆🤣😂😉

I have a funny story about Portlock Point too. I was next in line and chatting with someone with my back to the wall. A swell went underneath us and I didn't realize the rear fin of my board got caught in the cliff face. When the wave went by, I was hanging upside down on the face of the cliff, about ten feet above the water. 🤣 I was like, what is going on and finally dove back in.
