After spending a week with the A4, I really appreciate the proper driving dynamics of a sedan vs most of these SUVs. This A4 was superior to the Q5 I tested and I would certainly recommend getting the Premium Plus package vs the Prestige trim. In my full review I talk more about the difference between the 40 trim engine and the 45 engine tuning and there isn’t much of a difference. As much as I appreciate the standard Quattro AWD, I still think the BMW 3 Series can be a bit more fun but both vehicles are so good that you should buy whichever is being sold with the best deals and incentives.

I’ll tell you this, I have the 45 on a loaner from the dealer, my god. I have never been in any other car that was this smooth. The steering!!! Wow. The only issue I had is that it was a little tight. I’m a little wider in the hip but it’s still nothing to complain about. I just wish they went a tab bit wider. Other than that, I would say the perfect word to describe this vehicle would be “effortless” or was an experience. I still have it. The fuel economy!! Jesus. I couldn’t believe it. So full disclaimer I’m actually buying it. I couldn’t believe how great it was, seriously

I don’t anymore, I will say the fuel economy was great. I’m still blown away by this vehicle. I’ll be pulling the trigger sometime this year

One thing i don’t like are the seats… they wear out very quickly and wrinkles start to show.. especially if one drives with the heated seat on like me… it makes the leather seat out of shape. It’s also too bad that the wood looking plastic that goes around the car is standard on premium and premium plus trims. You’d have to get the prestige or the 45 to get the silver or dark wood dash inlay.

Hey Kevin, please review the following; 2022 Avalon Touring (TRD would be nice too) saw one on the street today & looks futuristic & for $45K I think is a much better buy than the A4, RAV TRD Off Road, GR86 & the Honda SI....Seems like besides sports cars the new rage these days is off Roaders even if some people don't take them off road, they look cool with the rugged tires etc...Thanks!

Less distractions and much easier to press physical buttons than to look down at a screen and access climate control

I'm sure it's a nice car. I just can't get on board with "FWD luxury cars" based on economy car platforms. Not to mention the terrible weight distribution.

Electronic power steering sucks, throttle by wire, numb brakes, overstrung suspensions, high belt lines, huge A-pillars, the elimination of real buttons, throttle lag, turbo lag, cars are all way larger and wider now (hard to place), etc. Is it just me, or is it all garbage? The limits on newer cars are way higher, for sure. But what is fun to drive any more?

Correct, they are training us for a full EV society where ICE cars are totally irrelevant otherwise there’s no excuse for this people far smarter than me work at these companies and develop these cars they know what a proper feeling car is like but they won’t make it. There’s only a handful of decent cars the Japanese cars seem to be the few connected cars left I do like Lexus and Acura a lot

Audi kicked but on this A4 inside & out & that's a fact Jack! Call me Mr cheap (or Scotty Jr) but I'll be damned if I'm gonna shell out $45K for a 200HP four banger. I'd definitely wait three years & find one for around $32 or 33K with under 20K miles. TY for the review, she's a beauty to behold that's for sure!
