I am facing an issue with Imt. When I am driving in steep uphill in 1 st gear automatically car stops moving and feels like lost complete power, the feel is similar to clutch pedal is pressed. Though car remains in first gear only rmp increases. Please let me know if anyone is facing this issue.

This is to prevent 'Clutch burning'.. In order to protect the Clutch... The transmission will disengage to protect the clutch. Just watch the Zigwheel video at 7:35 onwards you will understand kzbin.info/www/bejne/eKTdeqGshJWZopo

@@hldtwk1407 thanks for the reply. There was issue in the gearbox. Cable was loose, when tightend issue got resolved.

@@hldtwk1407 imt is good if car has hill hold. Gearbox is slightly tighter than manual. Overall driving experience is good. I had bought sports turbo which is without hill hold assist, though I have not faced problems I recommend car have that.

Thanks anoop for your feedback.. I also felt the same while trest driving.. The gear lever was a bit tighter than normal manual.. Hill hold is now an issue in IVT also.. Currently in N-Line iMT only hill hold is available... But my main concern is about the resale value of iMT.. What is your thought on this?

IMT means as per Hyundai dictionary is “Intelligent money-looting technic” and they are doing very well now. Their sales branches are taking booking with booking amount and not giving vehicle even after three months. So better check other brands

mileage is poor. Turbo kicks in at 1500 rpm. That is too late. Most of the time in city driving, you dont cross 1500 rpm, if you are in the right gear

How to handle uphill

Sure sir....this is for any car on hills or incline without the hill assistant. Engage the hand brake, put the vehicle in 1st gear with clutch fully pressed, then with your left hand release the handbrake slowly and simultaneously accelerate with your right food and slowly lift your left foot from the clutch. These 3 processes should be In synchronisation and the car won't move backward and will go only forward. (Will try to make a video soon)

@@TheCarGuide thanks for the reply. But since car is i20 Imt we don't have clutch.So I am facing difficulty in uphill traffic drive. Stop and start drive is very challenging. Please upload a video at the earliest it would be great help.

@@anoopnd7551 Use the handbrake brother. One has to use it in manual gearbox vehicles also. As Rishabh mentioned in the above comment for manual gearbox, " Engage the hand brake, put the vehicle in 1st gear with clutch fully pressed, then with your left hand release the handbrake slowly and simultaneously accelerate with your right food and slowly lift your left foot from the clutch. The advantage with iMT is that you don't have to worry about the clutch. Just engage the hand brake, put the vehicle in 1st gear then with your left hand release the handbrake slowly and simultaneously accelerate with your right foot. That's all. It is even easier than a manual.
