Agree about all the pros! I built a beautiful home and moved my son here for the small town feel, but with all the conveniences :) I’d add 2 cons….maybe not of significance to some, but hugely impactful to me as single mom. 1) for the first time in my life, I have to pay for trash pickup. Not a huge deal, but just an added bill I didn’t consider before moving here. 2) there are very few childcare options. My son’s elementary school doesn’t have extended day, and all of the daycares nearby that would provide this service are waitlisted. Just like with the trash, it would have NEVER occurred to me that a school didn’t have extended day, so another $300/month I wasn’t planning on spending (difference between the price of after care at an off-site location vs what I was paying for extended day at elementary school before moving to Yulee). Summer camp, spring break camps, other holiday childcare options….nonexistent. There is the Y, but again…waitlisted. If anyone reading this has the wherewithal to come down here, buy up some land, and open up a camp for the kids, that’d be terrific! :) Again, maybe not an issue for 2-parent households that have family in the area and can rely on their support systems, but these are things this single mom transplant wished I knew before I moved here.

I can't thank you enough for your heartfelt and factual comments. It means so much that viewers like yourself, with children - that actually have moved to Yulee and live in the community - share valuable and insightful information like this. Thank you for watching and commenting!

The only real negative I heard was the traffic. Sounds like a nice place. I keep trying to get my wife to consider Florida, but she says I would die in the heat (northern boy). Also, maybe reconsider that popping sound affect. Just saying. Thanks for all the good info.

Florida will definitely grow on you if you give it a chance. It takes a season or two to acclimated, if you come from colder climates. We'll keep the content coming out. Thanks for watching Rob!

I will say the con of no public transportation is actually a pro to me because it doesn’t draw in the homeless population that crowds the streets like here in Pensacola.

@@livinginthe904jax Me and my wife are potentially interested in moving over there in the next few years. Do you happen to know if there are any Christian schools in the area near Yulee? Thanks for the great content and information!

@@thomasschott4068 your best bet is to check www.niche.com/places-to-live/yulee-nassau-fl/ and there’s a tab for private schools. Thanks again.

So I'm going to be 100% honest . The traffic is a nightmare the schools are over crowded. The cost of living is out of control . I don't understand why no one tells the truth

Thanks for watching the channel and your comments. All I can say is I have personally helped customers move to Yulee from California and New York. They love living there and chose Yulee over even St. Johns County. People like what they like and don't like what they don't like. I respect that you have your opinion of life in Yulee. I feel like the schools and traffic issues are temporary. Ask a New Yorker, Chicagoan or person from LA about traffic. More schools will be built. More roads will be built and improved. Nassau County is a beautiful area and given time will adjust to the growth spurt. The great migration of people over the last 3 years is no secret. Florida is the number one destination. No state income tax, great weather, and wide open for business. Life is good. It's all about what you compare it to.

Can’t wait to sell my home and leave Yulee HOA, traffic and over development is sad. This guy’s a realtor just pumping PR for this rural hell hole

Bad hotels are no fun. Thanks for watching! Here's where Forbes Advisor rates Jacksonville #3 on the Best Places to Live in Florida for 2023. www.forbes.com/advisor/mortgages/real-estate/best-places-to-live-in-florida/ Maybe you might want to check out Green Cove Springs or Middleburg if a smaller Jacksonville suburb is what you're after? Videos on both are on the channel 👍🏼.

Why is this titled “Don’t Move Here” while the content is highly favorable?
@livinginthe904jax Жыл бұрын
I understand your question. Why do people slow down and try to see car accidents - aside from safety and respect for laws? Thumbnails with negatives & detractors draw interest. I try to show both the positive and negative. Some agents just focus on the negative and doom and gloom stats. I’m not that real estate agent. I love NE FLA. Thank you for watching and commenting. 👍
