I have a membership in a luxury bag rental company. You can keep the item as long as you want then switch it out for another. I’ve been enjoying it so far

Uh that’s great to read, may I ask for how long you‘ve been doing it already and what’s the rate? Does the price depend on the bag style?
@jrob123 Жыл бұрын
@@LuMiLevelUp I have only been doing it for a few months. Yes, there are different tiers of membership depending on the level of the designer bag you want. You can do an annual membership to save some money but I wasn’t ready to Commit so for now I’m doing a monthly membership. The monthly rate is $155 USD

I have borrowed from BBOS in the US many times and would very much recommend if you are wanting to get a feel for a bag before buying. Doing this helped me decide I did not want the Soho Disco because of the strap, the Alma Bag in Bag because of the corner wear that would become an issue, the Neo Noe because of the pocket in the middle, I did buy the Pochette Metis after renting and the Dionysus. I think renting is a good idea if you're on the fence it could save you the headache of having to sell down the road. Great topic!

@@LuMiLevelUp I commented right on the day you posted. It was weird because I saw the comment after posting it (I was checking for any mistakes the text) and then the next morning I went back to check, because you are so kind and always reply (and I don’t get the notifications anymore) it was gone. Maybe it was too long and filtered as spam. I will try again 😀

@@iuli3se it did happen to me before aswell, that I left a nice (or neutral) comment at someones video and when I checked back, it was just gone 😕 I think when YT automatically deletes comments, they should at least give a notification, ideally with mentioning the reason, why it got deleted. That would make sense aswell with actually mean hate comments - YT does automatically delete most of them - but I think it wouldn’t hurt, to let the writer know, if he/she acted inappropriate

I have thought of this off and on for a while but I still can’t decide if this is worth it. It’s a great idea though if you want to try a bag that you’re not sure you want permanently. Great topic, Mary! You made a lot of great points.

The site were I „ordered“ offers an insurance, where I‘d „only“ have to pay 10% of the bag price, if a repair was necessary (and small, normal sings of wear shouldn’t be a problem at all).. but I‘m very curious to see, if I will be able to enjoy the bag - or if I‘ll be worried 🙈 I‘ll definitely share my experiences in upcoming videos 😁

Okay, this is an interesting topic! Great video! I’m aware of some of these companies and have checked them out online just out of curiosity. I think it’s a great idea, but it’s not one I would ever use myself. I think I would be too sad to send a beautiful bag back! I’d want to keep it. I have a decent size designer and contemporary bag collection, and I just love owning them! Most of them get carried throughout the year. I sometimes open up my closets where they’re stored just to look at them! 😂❤

Thank you 🥰 - I‘m most worried, if I will be able to fully enjoy the bag (or if I‘ll be somewhat scared, to possibly get any signs of use on it 🙈). But never try, never know - so I‘m happy and curiously looking forward to get my first rented bag soon 😁

This is a very interesting topic. I can see why one may want to rent a bag and think that’s great to have that option. For me personally, I wouldn’t rent a bag because I would feel like I’m just throwing money away. I’d just save that money and buy the bag of my choice. I enjoyed hearing your pros and cons ❤. TFS🤗

Thank you for watching Mo 🥰.. the subscription I‘ll try out is 79€ a month (and runs at least 6 months) - so I definitely could have bought a nice, contemporary brand bag with that money 🙈 - but so curious to see, how it will work for me

Ok, so try #2: I heard about this exact company from an influencer (but not the usual fashion/luxury content creator) like 3 years ago or so. For me personally it’s nothing since I do not have a lifestyle that would have me use a luxury bag so often. I agree with you on all the points and I would like to add one thought: I think this is also a bit like a lottery. You can get lucky and all the bags you receive are in pristine condition or even new, or you can get some that have already been to several people and already look used (even if it’s just absolute normal signs of wear). I wonder for how long these companies keep their bags in the run. So I am super excited to see your series of videos on this topic 🤩😁

This time the comment went through - and I have absolutely no idea, why YT deleted it the first time 😳. I read, that they sell their bags after some time and that you can even request to buy, if you fell in love with the one you rented - (but of course I don’t know, after how many useses they do so… if it‘s a 2000€ bag, they would have to rent it out for at least 25months, to even make the money on it back 🤔 - if it’s constantly used 2 years straight, it might be quite worn 🙈.) We will see 😁 I‘m so super curious for the first bag!

I looked at the rentals for handbags and found that the rent amount is very high. I could buy a designer bag for the price of 2 months rental bag like $500 for a chanel bag.
@LuMiLevelUp Жыл бұрын
Uuuh, $500 definitely would be too much for me aswell - then I’d rather buy a nice contemporary brand bag! The site I‘m going to check out, charges 79€ a month (but as I mentioned, there’s no Chanel available… and brands like Dior or Celine just come with the premium subscription for 119€)
