There is a good paid alternative to Cpanel and ISPConfig. It's called IspManager. It's extremely powerful, configurable and stable. You can, for example, control php extensions and config right from the panel. There's a live demo on their site. $4/month

I love ispconfig. I built-up a company around using it. It has a good community and it's forum's are fairly active.

@@SwitchedtoLinux Nope, my Linux professor at the university uses it since more than a decade and he handles all his servers with it. I have used it for the administration of an LDAP server and it was way better than phpLDAPadmin. There is more configuration to do but thanks to Perl you can do a gazillion of things through scripts in all their modules.

Very good video. I am curious, what is your video-editing workflow?

I am using KDenlive, but I want to look at a few other options as the newer versions are becoming a bit problematic.

Would be interested is how to set up Glue records to use DNS from ISPConfig, if you have a tutorial
@SwitchedtoLinux2 жыл бұрын
I don't but it is the same as for other setups: 1.) Get the IP for the server 2.) In your registrar, create the glue records 3.) Create at last ns1.yourdomain.com, ns2.yourdomain.com pointing to your server 4.) Copy those into the DNS for your server

I have no idea what I do with this as I don't do websites... Lol I have a website on GoDaddy and is my regustire for 1 site and the other is over on Olm.Net. Yep every time you login at GoDaddy you get some blurb about buying something... LOL I think Olm.Net uses CPanel now. Have not logged in for a while. Guess I need to someday. Have not updated the site sense I got on linux because I used FrontPage in Windows to build it and all. I guess I need to figure something out for a WYSIWYG program. Not a Html person, the program needs to be simple for a 67 year old... Lol Thanks for the video! LLAP
