Nathaniel DarDar yeah and only recently after playing the games again I noticed how half the levels in the series don't have a path or road for the van to go across, so it is either a boat an aeroplane or a time machine (although if anyone says in sly 4 it turns into a time machine the just keep in mind that I know that).

NintendoBrother how have I or nobody else thought of this sooner this is a great idea. Make it a Netflix orginal and get the old voice cast back. It could be a reimagining of one of the games or be a completely new story, the possibilities are endless. The movie keeps getting delayed it's probably gonna die in production so why not go make a show? There's still a strong fanbase going craving for more after the 4th game's cliff hanger. If whoever is in charge doesn't explore the idea of making a Sly Cooper animated tv show I'll be very disappointed because it would be an amazing and totally do able idea.

Sir Raleigh in the first game is much different than the other villains. He didn't suffer a tragic event in his childhood that made him evil, instead he decided to be a pirate simply because he was just bored of being living in a pampered life. He even had the highest murder count at least over *1,000!*

But it seems to have had a nifty effect on him; Even Sly's cane nor Murray's punches can't hurt him, takes things like multiple shots from Carmelita's shock pistol, multiple blows from a plane engine or... a little bit of sunlight; to hurt him.

One that haunted me as a kid was in Sly 1. Clockworks intro,seeing the pictures of the ancestors (still don't know how the fuck they got pictures of Slytutenkamen or Rioichi) knowing that he was there stalking and may have possibly killed all coopers for thousands of years was terrifying.

Z.D.F Sanzaru don't actually own the rights to Sly. Sucker Punch and Sony just lent them the rights so that they could make Sly 4 but the rights got transferred back once they got taken off the game due to poor sales which I blame Sony's terrible marketing for. If I'm not mistaken Thieves in time was originally planned as the start of a new trilogy but that plan fell through due to the aforementioned poor marketing and sales of Sly 4. Sony also severely cut the game's budget which is why the final boss fight was a QTE. So I imagine with how poorly Sanzaru were seemingly treated they wouldn't wanna make another Sly even if they could. Anyways the rights are back with Sucker Punch and Sony since they aren't stupid enough to just freely hand one of their most iconic franchises off to a third party studio. They won't do anything with those rights for now though since Sucker Punch is developing other projects these days. Who knows, maybe some day they'll feel a bit of nostalgia and want to revisit their master thief.

-LonelyIntrovert - That and Clockwerk doesn't really lend himself to a proper bare knuckles brawl type situation like General Tsao, Panda King, or even Dimitri do. He's just too big to be anything other than a setpiece. Sly 1 and Sly 2 honestly gave us the best multi staged boss fights you can get out of a giant metal bird like Clockwerk. In all honesty I wouldn't mind it if Sly were to be rebooted and if they were to make the giant Clockwerk that we're familiar with into a mech suit for more an anthropomorphic and human sized Clockwerk that can actually challenge Sly in hand to hand combat. I think there's actually potential for him to be even scarier that way since then it makes the threat more personal and immediate. Like a dude revving his monster truck towards you might be intimidating but when you see a 6 foot tall dude that's absolutely shredded hop out and come at you to try and hurt you I feel like that's scarier.

i know what ya mean Ms.ruby turned out the way she was because she was shunned and looked on with disgust as a child. voodoo became her only source of friendship Muggshot just wanted to not be bullied, and a life as a gangster was his way of ensuring he wouldnt be harmed (be the biggest, and noone will mess with you) jean bison is just an old fashioned dude just doing what he knows best the characters are easy to sympathize with (unlike sly 4 villains which just sucked)

What I wouldn't give for a Sly 5 in the near future. I had this idea of two different arcing stories. One being the Cooper Gang (Minus Sly) and Carmalita working together to take down Penelope (as well as other returning villains) while hunting for clues to find out where and when Sly ended up. The other being Sly after months of travel from Egypt to the United States where he surprisingly ran into his Dad of all people, and the two work together to take down new baddies as Sly tries to figure out what to do that would grab Bentley's attention without drastically altering history (Despite how badly Sly wanted to warn his dad about Clockwerk and Dr. M). Though this was just my idea. I'm not sure who would even take over the Sly series at this point, yet it's one series that has always worked well and shouldn't be forgotten. What do you think should be the plot of Sly 5?

Airista Harns Only one that I was rather nervous about was Contessa back when I was a wee lad. Never managed to finish the game because of her. And I can also agree that it was rather nerve-wracking dealing with the tiger, especially in the mission where you had to pickpocket him when he was drugged as Bentley. However, dear old Dmitri never really stood as a frightening fogure for me. Must be because he looked like a fun guy to party with.

It gets even worse than that: during her boss fight, you see the eggs spawning around her with the little spiders coming out and rushing you... Yeah... she's throwing her babies at you as cannon fodder. That's some real fridge horror for a supposedly G-rated game.

@@dianaharris7506 I think she's one of the few villains in the series who are genuine psychopaths, along with Raleigh (he probably has a death toll in the hundreds, all because... he was bored?), Neyla (betrayed literally everyone she made eye contact with and is completely driven by lust for power/immortality) and General Tsao (again, he's entirely driven by a desire for power and we don't get any kind of tragic backstory for him). Although that also makes the Contessa one of my favorite villains in the series. She's a real threat to the gang: after you first deal with Dimitri (who likely doesn't know what he got himself into) and Rajan (who's become addicted to his own drugs and completely melts down once you wreck his operation), this is the part where shit gets real. That, and pretty much everything about her character design, minions and both of her worlds perfectly complements the "complete horrorshow" vibe of this part of the story. The only better villains in the series I can think of would be Neyla, Tsao and maybe Dr. M. Whoops, that was a pretty long comment. Can you tell I just finished the entire trilogy again this week? 😁

supersonicmario56 It's implied Clockwerk didn't immediately become mechanical and that it was a slow process over the course of a couple centuries before he became fully robotic. He also doesn't seem to be your average Owl seeing as to how he was legitimately gigantic even in his organic body compared to everyone else and has a very long life span as well as extreme durability to even allow that transition into a mechanical being to happen as a slow and steady process. I'm assuming if we were to get Sly 5 and if Clockwerk were to be introduced we'd see him change slowly into the form that we recognize from Sly 1 as we worked our way back into the present day.
