Just realized what Nintendo implied during the final boss fight. Bowser's eyes are red in this(Normally pure black), the body slumps and the head turns white when removed....it's not actually a fake bowser at all. King Boo is literally possessing Bowser's undead body. Which makes the game like fifty notches darker than what was already a pretty dark Mariio game.

Boolosus was the hardest boss to me since when you got down to the last 5 ghosts there were only two ways to freeze and catch them, the first was to wait until they charged at you then freeze them with the stream which had a low reach, the second was to shoot them with an ice ball, which was even harder given how far away the camera was and the fact that it was hard to angle Luigi correctly without wasting ice.

I was actually disappointed that Luigi's Mansion 3 felt very cartoony. I'm was also surprised no one was mentioning that and so, I thought perhaps I was wrong. I liked the first one a lot for it's portrait ghosts, the music and I liked the fact they kept the mansion concept. The new one (while I don't mind it's a hotel), went away from that by introducing a desert and sea level. While there was one I think which was the observatory but due to the rest, it felt actually it was okay. I'm hoping Luigi's Mansion 4 would reintroduce that spookyness alongside more portrait ghosts and a *must* more boos. 17 is way to little.

Idk why, but there is just this atmosphere of creepniness and anxiety to this game that the other just seem to lack, whether its just the dark lighting, the eerie glow of the ghost, the character design, the silence. Like playing this game at night made me scared to walk without all lights on.

The original Luigi's Mansion will always be my favorite.. I used to play it for hours as a kid and somehow as a kid it managed to scare me at times. The baby, the Whirlindas, Shivers ans Bowser would freak me out but I still had such a fun time playing it on the GameCube. In fact, I still have the game.. I play it on my Wii every once in a while and it is still as fun as I remember it. I think the game did a really good job for being fun but at the same time having a slight spooky factor to it with the dark rooms/hallways and music

I personally want the spooky theme to come back, it was super cool, I actually was babysitting my moms friends 4 year old son when I got this for Christmas and I played it while he watched, he actually told me Chaunceys crying sounded like he was saying "ADULT!" And now I can't get it out of my head lol, he wasn’t scared at all and he was cheering me on during the boolosus fight, unfortunately I died and I didn't have a memory card so it was right back to the beginning 😅 but from experience I know some kids wouldn't be afraid of the spooky theme

Sure, it's completely normal to be spooked a little tho. In fact, I used to be freaked out by the gluttonous ghost, I can't remember his name, and also bowser and Chauncey, and for some reason the pig ghost who love showers and baths, yeah that one doesn't make sense but I was scared of her... Possibly of how the ghost ended up dying in the mansion Orville and Henry: The kids were playing hide and go seek with their parents, but their hiding spots were so good that the boys never left their hiding spot and died. This caused Neville and Lydia get mad at each other that caused them to separate into different bedrooms including Chauncey. Neville: After reading a book, Neville went to put away the book but tipped the bookshelf over himself by accident and died. Lydia: Since Chauncey was spoiled, she was taking care of him but now couldn’t handle it anymore. Chauncey: Nobody took care of him after Lydia passed away The Whirlindas: After leaving Sue (I’m assuming that’s their daughter) the couple were dancing at the party until something caused their death at the party (probably dancing to literal death) Shivers: Fire.... fire is bad (probably died by catching on fire) Melody Pianissima: Dedicated musician that made good songs but couldn’t get people to do the songs with her so she choose the afterlife to play all the instruments to her self. Mr. Lugg: Diabetes or ate too much Bogmire: Graverobber or grave digger that accidentally fell into the grave site and nobody realized he was there and died by dehydration and starvation. Buff Atlas: The weights crushed him by accident by doing a dead weight lifted Nana: Passed away of old age while nitting Miss petunia: Accidentally slipped and hit her head on the bath tub then later drowned or head trauma. Slim Bankshot: billiards accident (probably as the name implies doing a trick shot but ended up horrible) Madame Clairvoya: somebody found out she wasn’t a real fortune teller but a crook and paid the price (then become a real fortune teller) Boolossus: SKIP Uncle Grimmy: His bio on the fan site of this game is already really creepy to begin with but more than likely old age Clockwork soldiers: Actual soldiers doing a toy soldier play but their guns weren’t loaded with bootle caps and accidentally shot each other Sue Pea: After her parents left her so they can dance (again assuming it’s the dancing couple’s daughter) she promises to go to bed without wetting the bed and she does so, but it only cost her life. Probably accidentally cutting off her air way somehow when trying to nap Jarvis: Vase collector but does a FNAF stuffing to himself into the jar. Sir Weston: He was so worried about catching the mansion on fire he froze his room thus frozen the door and couldn’t escape. Last and finally Vicent Van Gore: Trying to beat Bob Ross and worked until he died. That or he slipped on paint that caused head trauma and or something crushed him in the middle of his masterpiece.

Coming up with ways of how Jarvis and Weston died was tedious because their rooms and their dialogue wasn’t matching up well. Jarvis mentions stuffing Luigi into the vase and I would imagine that’s how Jarvis died. Sir Weston was harder to come up with because his area makes no logical sense of how the room was frozen in the first place especially wearing mountain gear in a mansion.

They can, the portraits are not permanent seals, King Boo escaped because he was sold out in a garage sale and was left out of the lab by consequence, combined with the fact E. Gadd was studying the effects of the Dark Moon in ghosts, so maybe he was actually looking for a way to either pacify or redeem the portrait ghosts and so he can release them without them acting out as territorial or just evil, he was also running out of space in the garage too.

The ghosts that scare me the most are Biff Atlas (because of his whirling muscular arms which can take you TWENTY HP) and Sir Weston (which is insanely hard between the stalagmite waves, the slippery floor and the falling stalactites which can also deal 20 HP damage).

Btw, this is actually a good time to talk about this, but, I'm excited for Luigi's Mansion 3 coming out next year and the Remake for Luigi's Mansion on the 3DS. You can’t catch either chauncey or bogmire in one vacuum. At minimum it’s two. However, you don’t have to catch them in one for it to be gold. You can still do them in like three and get the gold

The Lost Levels where Poison Mushrooms look too similar to regular ones Mr. Luggs, it says he ate himself alive, probably because they took too long with his incoming order Spooky, starvation, the fate many guard dogs have at the hands of very neglectful owners, and it says in the bio too :p Bogmire, it’s not anyone’s ghost, it says it’s the embodiment of the fear and despair crawling from the Mansion, a shadow Miss Petunia, a heart attack by a very sudden temperature change while bathing, since she bathes with overly hot water, and she hates cold Nana, maybe she stepped on one of the yarn balls and tripped, hence why she would rather stay in her chair Henry and Orville, they accidentally locked themselves inside the boxes in their rooms while playing hide and seek, or just somewhere they couldn’t get out of Madame Clairvoya, she must have summoned something really really bad, or she saw something that scared her to death, or maybe a session with an impatient client just didn’t go well at all Biff Atlas, someone must’ve distracted him while lifting weights, and the weights fell on him, possibly a victim of bullying Boolossus, it’s just a Big Boo made out of many Boos Uncle Grimley, died alone in the dark, or he got scared stiff when he saw something in the mirror while doing those silly faces in the dark Toy Soldiers, I think they’re just natural ghosts, like the Polterguys from the Mario vs. Donkey Kong series Slim Bankshot, maybe a billiard ball was shot at high speed and he accidentally swallowed it and died of asphyxiation Jarvis, trapped in a jar, or maybe he’s just a natural ghost Sue Pea, died in her sleep, probably a heart attack caused by a recurring nightmare that often made her wet the bed Sir Weston, froze to death while hiking, or he just liked the cold so much he took it to the extreme and locked himself inside a freezer, perhaps accidentally Vincent Van Gore, maybe he starved combined with lack of sleep and dehydration, maybe he focused so much in his art that he even refused to eat or sleep until his masterpiece was absolutely done King Boo, he’s just a powerful Boo capable of casting illusions beyond disappearing acts, to the point of creating a life size and fully functional manor with real treasure that stayed even after the illusion was lifted, as well as a False Bowser he could control remotely, with abilities the real Bowser doesn’t have, like ice breath and the ability to summon spiked bombs

XxCordovaManxX well...the only one I like the least is Boolossus, but purely out of how hard the fight is for me for some reason, it’s also hands down among my favorite Boo monsters among Boohemoth and of course the Kings, and I really really like the intro before the fight. As of favorites, I’d say Van Gore, I just love characters that have drawings come to life, and that thick accent is fun to read out loud; Clairvoya because she’s very nice, and the whole read was nice too, and well she’s not a fortune teller per se if she never truly told you what awaited you at all, just what the items saw before they lost their owner?, but I just enjoyed her nicely; and Melody, besides the video game enthusiast thing, but more of how enraged she gets if you answer one of her questions wrong, it’s such a charm, and the way she laughs is just awesome too.

The theory of Chauncey's death is a mystery, but tbh that could be what killed him. Though stillbirth doesn't make sense, as he is a year old, otherwise he would have been marked as a newborn if that were the case. The asphyxia part may be it, or it could have been a case of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome that killed him as well. Though take that with a grain of sand.

this game is preeeeetty gruesome if you think about it, remember the fact that all these ghosts have to be *dead and buried* for them to be ghosts? Which also means that a family (probably Chauncey’s family) used to own this mansion? And the other ghosts were already existing ghosts that murdered them? THE FREAKING BABY’S DEAD. Also, anyone know those old beta depressed Luigi images? They were the game over models.. Imagine seeing that after getting killed, also Luigi was supposed to have that depressed face for the WHOLE GAME after he finds out his brother is kidnapped, and only becomes happy again after reclaiming his brother, the game is much darker than we could see being a kid. Edit: after watching the whole thing, there seems to be a giant dead poltergeist family here, worst part is, until Luigi came around they were sorta living their life again like regular humans.. ratherly more dead ones.
