Prosecutor Taunts Robert Telles for ‘Crazy Coincidence’ Over DNA, Shoes Tying Him to Murder

Prosecutors began cross-examining accused killer Robert Telles on Thursday afternoon. During the cross examination, the state questioned Telles about how his DNA ended up under Jeff German’s fingernails and how much of a “crazy coincidence” it is that the killer had the same exact shoes as him.

Robert Telles is accused of murdering Las Vegas Review-Journal reporter Jeff German. After German had written several articles about Telles, a public administrator at the time, he was found stabbed to death outside his home in September 2022. Prosecutors claim Telles’ DNA was found under German’s fingernails. Telles has pleaded not guilty and says he was framed for the murder.
