The contortions this man goes through to excuse prosecutorial misconduct. "The job is hard." "Maybe it was an accident." What nonsense. Prosecutors go after people all the time where they don't give a damn about these kinds of excuses. But they hold themselves to a different set of standards, where they can abuse their role and be be excused, rather than held accountable, by their peers. This needs to change. There are serious consequences to misconduct and perpetrators need to be investigated and held accountable. This happens in other highly regulated industries. Ironically, not the legal profession.

I do not think that the average law abiding citizen fully understands the human factor involved for a prosecutor and for that matter a defendants own attorney, not to poison a trial with their own presumption of guilt.

I'd put my money on the dog race , thank you. The lack of the human factor within dogs racing, makes be have faith in outcome of the race . The 4 corners of the bet is not subject to the discretion of a state actor...

As a result of police, prosecutorial and judicial misconduct, I have been subjected to malicious persecution in every aspect of my life. I have written proof to no avail. I was falsely accused of rape in 1989 by a black woman who tried to rob and kill me with my own kitchen knife. While in jail, the Indianapolis Police went in and out of my home over a 5 month period creating a crime scene. The police (government) police coerced my mother, father and brother to assist them knowing I would sue. The charges were dropped. I sued pauper and pro se all the way to the US Supreme Court for constitutional violations but the case was just thrown in the trash and a phony decision was mailed to me. I can rove that but the government has separated me from family, friends, good jobs, manipulated my social life and made everything else I do very difficult to accomplish. The government has kept the press and lawyers from taking my case and publicizing it. Witnesses cab be bought by the thousands. Questions ? Edwin Jones 1-317-709-6995

Viewing this in 2021, it's hilarious to see Sindy Powell being reasonable and intelligent.

They also could not prove that you made a statement to them. If you simply say that you want an attorney they should stop questioning you and get one for if you can't afford one or contact yours if you do have an attorney. However, I am mindful that some cops will not do what is lawful. That said, I still wouldn't talk to police under any circumstances. Even if it means I die while in custody.

In Colorado revised statute there is a think called reserve cops who are not P.O.S.T certified that just have to report to a P.O.S.T certified cop...

Although this debate was 5 years ago, I have to ask (now is January 2017), "what and why is prosecutor misconduct an issue, and why it is an issue?"Of course the excuse used in this debate was "mistake", but it is a constant that prosecutor misconduct are/is a purposely done act. Purposely falsifying evidence, altering evidence, Purposely manipulating words, etc etc..., it is the unethical Purposely done acts by people who society is supposed to believe to tell the truth. As one of my college professor stated in lecture, "this created system was created to benefit certain people, to benefit the creators of this system". Now, if you look at who created this system, it was white Europeans and now the rich who control government. Also, if you look at how crime originated in America: violence (genocide of native indigenous people of America), drugs (anthropology study would prove the indigenous people who used the plants had no monetary value on the plant until a developed country slapped the dollar bill on it, now pharmaceutical drugs), and sex crimes (exploited through film for monetary purposes that psychologically effected certain society through excitement and when the white European man came to America without their women) were all created by the creators of this created system. If new law, or changing the law it to end unethical human acts, than yes prosecutor immunity should be no more. This debate are nothing but excuses for the bully or the creators of this system to continue their unethical human acts to rewrite history to cover up their created crimes that have wronged so many people for decades...
