The poor woman was raped repeatedly, by many men. Am I hearing it right the maximum penalty is only 20 years?

Only 15 years? 😡😡😡😡

What ?? 20 and 10 years? That is nothing for what they did!! Her life sentence !! France needs to really look at their justice system.

In Europe we believe in rehabilitation. That's not possible if you lock someone away for life. Though rehabilitation is unlikely in this case....
@sitnspin181914 сағат бұрын
@@cucublueberry8078 To be rehabilitated, a person needs to accept that they did wrong. Pelicot hasn't done that. He's downplaying what he did. The other men are also refusing to say what they did wrong. These men can't be rehabilitated. They are a danger to women because they are predators.

@@cucublueberry8078 In North America we believe in punishment. Criminals waive their right for "rehabilitation" once they've committed crimes of rape and murder.

@@cucublueberry8078 You think they have rehabilitation in them? The crime they comitted was not sudden it's was all planned

@wvanderwahl yeah. And looking at your prison system, your incarceration rates and rehabilitation rates..., that seems to work out really great for you... 😶

Dominique Pelicot should get 20 years for every count done by the others. The others should get the maximum 20 years.
@DenzX_NJ16 сағат бұрын
For Dominique that's basically a life sentence

France’s shame is not that this happened on French soil-it could have happened anywhere, given the internet. The shame, the very deep shame, is French law and its blasé attitude towards rape.
@TheSapphire5112 сағат бұрын
Yes and the rest of its misogynistic laws. The idea French men being romantic is well and truly dead.
@Ava2969ny3 сағат бұрын
Yes, this is deeply shameful. For all the beauty and trend-setting that categorizes France, for all the admiration and emulation that France receives, this has knocked the country off of its pedestal.

Dominique Pelicot should never be allowed out of prison. And all the others should get maximum sentences.

They should all get the same sentence but her husband should have the longest sentence possible.

he is also suspected of k1lling and r@ping women in the 1990's. The French. police have his DNA on one woman and police suspect he is responsible for other cold cases. They found his DNA on a second woman who was found r@ped and d3ad, and had the DNA filed, but of course, the French lost the files.

because some men view women as their property. it's that simple. women aren't equal or human to them, they are objects to do with as they wish.
