INSTANT BUY! I'm already extremely happy with the original VSound2 pedal so I know this will just make things even more fun.

Great to have more options! Nice to have all those effects in a one stop shop. The distortion is actually not bad at all too

I was STUNNED by the difference it makes! I love the sound of my electric but sometime the client wants more of an acoustic sound and I just rent some expensive mics and do it the old fashioned way. This is a fantastic option for my St. Patrick's Day shows!

The IRs sound really nice! I'm not crazy about the effects interface, but space is obviously a factor. I would build this into a lunchbox-style rig, with a preamp, and maybe a Mooer Prime-type unit.

It has a preamp in it.

It sounds great, but fitting a toggle switch instead of a footwitch is bizarre !

Probably my biggest gripe about this pedal.

Does this need a preamp to work on a passove pickup?
@electricviolinshopaccount20453 күн бұрын
No. Our version of the Prosody pedal has an input impedance of 3 Megaohms, so it should work perfectly with the vast majority of passive piezo pickups.

Wow! It's sold out already! 😢

If it's just IR-based then can't you just buy any cheap IR loader and put violin IRs onto it?
@electricviolinshopaccount20453 күн бұрын
Yes, and no -- so far, the number of violin IRs available a la carte isn't that large, and not all IRs are created equal. Probably the main appeal of the Prosody IR pedal is that Signal Wizard Systems worked closely with a high-level luthier who was able to get permission from some of his clients to create IRs from their instruments. As a result, when you buy the Prosody pedal, you get access to a fairly massive library of IRs, including (as of today) 66 violin IRs, 5 violas, 14 cellos, 3 double basses, 11 "Hybrid" IRs (combining a violin IR with a cello IR, for extended-range violins), as well as 38 guitar IRs and and 14 cabinet IRs. I've only played with the violin IRs so far, but in addition to a number of Strad and del Gesu IRs, they also have a great selection of both historical and modern makers represented.

@@electricviolinshopaccount2045 There'll be good violin IRs readily available on the internet right now for sure, if not fairly soon.

it's what I did, with a budget guitar multieffects pedal, I like my sound better than the pedal in this video
@ElectricViolinShop3 күн бұрын
@MatthewApsey Yes, except this pedal comes with a large set of proprietary IRs taken from high-end fine acoustic violins, and accompanying software with spectrum editing. Additionally, this little pedal includes 5 parametric EQ presets, 3 reverb presets, 3 universal distortion presets, 3 echo presets, so it can replace several units on your pedalboard.
