Jeri, you are well loved and respected. If anyone judged you for having spotty hands, it’s on them. I think of the beauty those hands have brought forth and given to the world, so they are instruments of beauty. My mother had terrible arthritis and she used to comment about her “ugly” hands but I remember them as beautiful because they belonged to my beautiful mother. 😊

I love the gloves! I absolutely loved it all!! I'm 41yrs old and can't stop watching all of your videos!! I didn't come from them times well I do think we all have prior to our life now!! I think that's why we feel such a connection to older stuff such as them old games!! I'd of loved to play them games instead of internet games they put out it's ugly. The love that is time spent with one another was I think much sacred 💙 💕 ❤. The old tools and gadgets you still use is just amazing to still have it all, I'm sooo mad I let my mom get rid of all my 80s toys, I found Katie skates on ebay I grabbed! You can't find one toy that was made so well from the 80s.

Jeri you deliver such wonderful messages... nature, life, growing things, slowing down, fresh air, reaching back to when everything was way less complicated. You speak to all of us "old souls" that tend to gravitate together. I remember the violets in my grandmothers garden and see them spread throughout your gardens. Love them. I bought some pink primrose seeds from Everwilde Farms and will plant them around my yard windmill. And I will most definitely make the cookies. I'm waiting on a tea I ordered from Amazon called Paris Breakfast from Stash. It is a blend of black tea, bergamot and lavender...like Earl Grey with a soother. Love how you've added tea to your videos. Do you ever read Gladys Taber...her Stillmeadow books? Until we see you next...sending blessings from Texas. Keep well. 🌷🌷🌷
@JeriLandersofHopalongHollow4 жыл бұрын
Yes indeed, we "old Souls" do gather together! I let the Violets do whatever they want to do, because I can't stop them, and who can say no to a heart-shaped leaf? I have a Paris Tea from Harney and SOns, haven't featured it yet, sound like the same ingredients. You will adore your little pink Primoses. Never read Gladys... will look her up.

"Follow the lay of the land" I love that saying. That's exactly what I do on my land. I look at my trees and bushes (outside the Veg.Garden) and I see them with their own characters in which I shape them! Does that sound strange? The stones are just beautiful - I feel like going out and digging some out. Oh that dish set is so pretty. I like the size of the tea cups. And the tea pot is so pretty. I like collecting tea pots as well. I have a few that I've thrifted and collected throughout the years. Plus my grandma left me two of them. Lovely. Oh I will be making some chicken salad for sure. Being outside in the garden while enjoying some homemade food is absolutely the best feeling of accomplishment especially when you see all your efforts coming together upon site!!!! So beautiful. Have a blessed day. Bertha in TEXAS.

I don't think it is strange at all. I have a huge stump from an ancient Mulberry tree sitting smack in the middle of a yard... I think it has personality too! I want to design a garden all around it. I enjoy your videos so much. I’m in WV and the temperatures dropped below freezing last night, but I think my cherry trees and flowers are going to survive. I had a chicken that helped me cultivate my gardens. I was always afraid she was going to move in as I was digging and I would get her head or foot. 😄 I can’t wait to try making the lemon curd and smash cookies. Thank you for sharing your lovely gardens, animals, and recipes. 🥰🌸

I really have to be careful with Peggy, she just goes for the worm and pays no attention to the moving tools!

You are SO blessed to live where you do! I love your way of gardening…with the chickens roaming around cultivating the soil! What kind of wood sticks or branches do you use to make the border fences with? A Dr. told me years ago to take Vitamin C to strengthen the vein walls so you don’t bruise so easily… I would so enjoy a cup of tea with you….❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Those chickens are the bane of my gardens, let me tell you! Cute, but destructive. I use any kind of wood that is green and bendable, from willow, locust and wisteria, Privet and mulberry, whatever works.

Happy Easter Sunday, Jeri! What a wonderful Easter video this is. It's pouring rain here in Ky as I'm watching but for a little while I was transported away to gardeners delight of peacocks, wisteria, plants with a luscious lemony tea party for a finale. Your China is so pretty and, as always, I love your music. And I love your gloves. They take me back to olde English tea party times with books and cups of tea and oil lamps. Hope you never stop wearing them. God bless and keep you well and safe.

We've got that rain coming tonight, it will water the seeds for us. I will always wear my gloves. I need them, and they are so cozy on cold hands..

Toast and tea was a frequent lunch in our house, but I think I was in my 20s before I ever heard of olives... once I had one, I was hooked. They were on every single shopping list after that, but I never yet had egg and olive on the same sandwich. I'll have to give it a try... Your garden is so tranquil and inviting. I felt quite guilty that I have not felt inclined... Now with the lock down it would have been handy to at least grow a few veg.... We have always had a small herb garden, though and of course there are fruit trees and berry bushes, not to mention wild berries like huckleberry and blackberry and when we can find them, stinging nettle which tastes very good steamed, with a dab of butter and a light sprinkle of salt.... Still veg growing at home would have been nice. Maybe if we survive this pandemic, next year will be another opportunity to try it before the growing season begins.

Right now is the perfect time to start a vegetable garden, Spring is for planting seeds and getting all in order on your plot. All will be well, of that I am sure!

Loved this video, as always. I have been to Kew Gardens several times and I can confirm it is a wonderful place. You should come and visit yourself Jeri. The grounds and the gift shop are fabulous! I always use their soap because it smells so wonderful and will scent the room. They do have an online shop as I expect you know. When I was in Knoxville, I was surprised by how hot and humid the summers were there. We are the other way around in England. The summers are hot and dry and yes, we get a lot of rain, and the winters are cold and humid. Hot to me is anything above 80 deg F. If we leave cookies (biscuits) out, they go soft so I keep mine in a tin. Your lemon curd looks lovely. I must try it. Thank you for sharing :)

I'd love to see Kew Gardens but will check out the gift shop. Our humidity is pretty bad, there are many plants I cannot grow because of it.
