Can anybody describe the arterial procedure? Can you feel the line moving through your body? Is there any discomfort or pain?

I just had this done PAE on Dec 6th its Dec 8 now = pissed fire and razor blades for two days now the pain is about a 3 from 10 everything working good flow good with little medication soooooo glad I had this done should be the GOLD Standard !

Did they sedate you before putting in a Foley catheter because I had one put in me with no sedation whatsoever and it hurt like hell!

I'm considering PAE for my enlarged prostate \ BPH. Prior to having PAE procedure, did you take any drugs to control your BPH? Was a foley catheter inserted for the PAE procedure? How is your urination now? Do you take any medication for an enlarged prostate or for pain due to PAE procedure? Thank you

Very factual and helpful video. It also seems like this might be the BEST treatment so far. But I wonder if a high-quality hospital like Georgetown University will accept Fidelis Medicaid from NY.

I had this done in early 2017 with excellent results. However, the effects now in 2024 are beginning to wane. Next year I'll consider retreatment. I'm wondering if treatment is as effective second time around.

You say you need to install a catheter before the embolization. Will that involve somehow sedating the patient and numbing the installation? Also can you be more specific than "over time" to see results?

I had an allergic reaction to contrast dye. Does that make me ineligible for PAE?

Just got to ask: Does after blocking off the blood veins that lead into the prostate possibly cause a backup of the blood in those veins, thereby increasing blood pressure and swelling in the blocked off veins in the body's futile attempt trying to circulate blood in the prostate, have a negative blocking effect on the urethra in the prostate?

From what I've seen, PAE procedure appears to have the least effect on sexual function.

The contrast dye, is that harmful to someone with TYPE II and one kidney ?

Not one word about the amount of radiation that you're exposed to and anything that's health-related to that which is the main reason that's keeping me from having it which tells me they're hiding something it's searched and searched and you're exposed to excessive exceedingly high doses of radiation and it does increase your cancer risk but they don't even talk about it they just gloss over it which seems very duplicitous to me
