I researched zirconia’s CTE and it was 10 to 11 , does that make it better than gold ¿
@arazayati41184 жыл бұрын
Hello, I noticed at 4:42 you said "the steeper the slope, the stiffer the material and the shallower the slope the more elastic that item would be." I believe you meant to say the shallow slopes means less elasticity because th steeper the slope, the more stiffness and more stiffness is more elastic. Please advise.
@mentaldental4 жыл бұрын
Stiffness and elasticity are two different properties, and while this is a bit of an oversimplification, they are inversely related to each other. A stiffer object is less elastic, a more elastic object is less stiff.

Thanks for the video, how does it make sense for RC to have a higher CTE than metal? please explain. Thanks :)

do you have an example for tensile strength ?
@mentaldental3 ай бұрын
Tensile strength is the maximum amount of stress a material can withstand before breaking when it is pulled or stretched. Like if you pull a rubber band hard enough, it eventually snaps.
