The game itself should provide an option for this for single player imo. Btw. a character selection would be great also. (A persistant Game world and have the option to use different characters.)

I've been doing this for the last six years. I keep the previous two game sessions saved of any character in case there's an issue with one of the saves. I don't reload a previous save often, but I did just the other day because I wasn't happy with the changes I made to a base and decided to go in a different direction. Just recently I used backups to go through 7 different characters just to grab a Freya (now Helga) before Age of Heroes began.

Absolutely agreed. Having multiple single-player saves would make this whole process a lot easier

Someone made a nifty app for this, Conan exiles Savegame Manager. Saves/loads in unique folders you name inside the default save location. Can just copy the folders/make a batch file to copy the folder to external location.

I don't know about single player on xbox being bscked up (maybe in profile cloud storage?) But I did discover a long while back that private server data for xbox can be saved as a backup to a PC if you look at the server manager for your account from a PC and make sure you choose the active xbox server in a drop-down menu under your account.

I'm not sure if there is, it's a definite shame if there isn't. The game should really supportive multiple saves natively, definitely in single player

Same for me, which is why I first looked into backing up my saves. Starting a new save has pretty much saved me from not being able to play Conan at all, and when they eventually fix it, hopefully a quick restore and verify of files will make those old saves load-able

@@Eradicati0nn Late but there is info about this in the conan forums. The issue boils down to old save games with removed mod data bloat being combed through for.... ... you guessed it, missing barkeepers. The game will load, but without the fix it will takes hours. The Admins United server has the fix, but it does require you to load the game at least once for it to work.

Yeah just for single player, official servers have their own save files that players don't have access to

Uff ... you do not need to save ALL the "backup" files. Only the ONE newest file.

I thought that might have been the case, this is definitely more of a shotgun approach of just catching everything 😂 I'm not the most technically minded but managed to work it out, it seemed a lot of people weren't sure how to back them up though

The game will autosave your gameplay every few minutes, thus with so many save game database files in the filder, those files did save me a couples of times when the game actually corrupted the latest save game as it some how removed all my learn feats and given me back all the points.. but doesn't allow me to relearn it the only way to fix that was to check on those save game database to see which one was the last save that wasn't affected..

@@fttsen I know, but if something is wwrong you would loar your backup so you only need one (the last) oft all this files to save into a this backup after a game-day when you close the game.
