Hallo, for there elder ones here. Sophos bought Astart years ago (15?). Looks like some of the ideas in the Astaro UTM survived until today. I used the UTM until last year in several privat projects.

Hi and thanks for sharing. I use Sophos XG for years and I love the features. You have real-time logging, application-policies and really cool firewall rule building process (you can create new aliases within the rule creation).

Great video. Can you please have a detailed video on setting up various features in SOPHOS firewall? Can it identify the culprit endpoint which takes up unusually high bandwidth? Does it have VLAN option?

I am running Omv, should I install a standalone firewall? Or I can use omv as firewall? Sorry but I know just a little, as I am not using any firewall. Why is it required a dual Lan for firewall? Thanks

It's up to you. You need dual nics for in and out.

Love sophos. But Sophos on a Zima board is quite a contradictio in terminis.... That hardware is Chinese 😂. Better buy some mobo that is either US or EU manufactured to ensure nothing is captured
