Verbal is worst because you keep hearing it no matter how many years but physical scars go away. With verbal you see the person and that's all you hear, you don't see them and still can hear the words. It can continuously break someone. Just rehearing the words changes your mood, next thing you know you're mad for nothing in the present but past.
