I let a friend drive my new Tesla over the weekend and but of course all 4 Rims have curb rash. Bought these and absolutely saved the day, and perhaps even better is that I actually like the look with them on vs stock. Only downside was how long it took to receive them, absolutely ridiculous!

Been seeing ads for these non-stop so it's nice to see a trustworthy source give them a shot. They seem to do the trick. I drove an IS300 for like a decade and its almost the exact width of a Model 3....the 3's wheel base is about 3 inches wider what was so engrained in my muscle memory was enough for me to curb my wheels in the first month. 🙄 That being said the Tesla Service Center near me was able to repair them in less than a day and I can't even tell anymore. $40 for the protection is still cheaper than the $150 + hassle for repair tho.....

Swapped to 18" wheels and tires to keep the overall diameter the same. Better efficiency, better acceleration and less vulnerable to curbs and potholes. The UT wheels are extremely vulnerable to curbing no matter how careful you are.

I accidentally slightly rubbed my rimcase protected Überturbine wheel this afternoon navigating out of a parking garage. I checked for damage and since I was driving very slowly the scratch was very minimal that I don't need to replace the plastic piece that took the scrape. Price, I paid for the product just paid for itself as my rim is still scratch free. An install tip would be to pre-peel the double-sided tape for each plastic piece so you can then easily pull it off when ready for installation. The tape was difficult to remove, and I was wasting so much time struggling to remove it. Pre-peeled the other three kits and installation went quicker.

I would definitely buy them if I had those turbine covers, but I went with the tesmanian model 3 covers when they first released it to stand out from other teslas

Rimcase is amazing. As my wife curb rashed 3 wheels on my model 3 I told her she is not getting to drive the Y with the Uber turbines before that is installed. And sure enough this week she hit a curb. Unfortunately the front wheel still took some damage but it is not huge. I don’t even wanna think about how that rim would have looked without rimcase. I needed to replace one segment as it was completely bent and torn. I can definitely recommend them but even if you have them drive as if you wouldn’t. At the end of the day they are like a phone case. It you are unlucky you can still break your phone but it is less likely. Installing was not difficult but quite tedious mostly applying all the tape first. Took me a good 2h for all wheels. And it you order make sure to order an extra set so it you need to replace segments you always have some.

I have had 2 blowouts and 3 damaged wheels. I just replaced them. In 30+ years of experience in driving I’ve never done this more than twice. And. Now all this in one car.

Installed these 4 months ago on a model 3 performance and they were very difficult to put on. Not only that, a few fell off on the freeway, despite using alcohol prep and sticky tape provided. Not sure if they updated them for better fit / endurance but you have been warned.

If they were very difficult to put on, more than likely you were clipping them on wrong. Have done quite a bit of driving and they've been flawless. I would recommend reaching out to magbak support, they'd definitely help you out!

I've had magbak for a few months now and although i love it's purpose i'm now hearing some very awful crackling, as if im driving over plastic when driving at slow speeds with the windown down. and by process of elimination i've determined its from the magbak installed. ive contacted the company and they claim its normal but its just really really annoying. does anyone else have this issue?

Ive had my MYP for only a few weeks, and suddenly found a tiniest curb mark on my front rim. I realized that driving up next to the curved edge of the sidewalk to our driveway was all it took… Needless to say, I have my magbak set on order. It’s way too easy to curb these rims. Even a curved side of a sidewalk can do it.

Turbines are hot on Model 3 but too low profile. Tesla needs to up their wheel game. Anything over 20" is dumb for a road going automobile. And Tesla hubcaps are grotesque. 19" probably sweet spot.

seriously I don'.t get the point. I bought cheaper than uberturbines hubs and scratch them all the way. These cases need a long time to install and they cn be scratched themselves

I got my Model Y with Gemini wheels just because I was afraid of curb rash. If I had known about this product beforehand I would have most definitely gotten induction wheels 🥲
