I think the "Next Shipment?" option is sort of asking "When will the next time what I ordered will come" when the logistics officer said "It'll take a few more weeks" The game has a date right? So he means literally it will take a few weeks before your next restock will come. I think most of the confusion is that each turn is not a week it could be a week or a few minutes like in the battle, so people can get confused. When they click that maybe they should add some sort of bracket with context like "Next shipment?"[ETA On supply] or something.

Are _Unteroffizieren_ addressed as "Herr"? This would be incorrect in the English-speaking militaries. Try it & the NCO will respond, "don't call me Mister (or Sir), I work for a living!", or something similar. ;-)

Yes, they are. I'm no military (or WW1) expert, that said, in Germany it is usually the opposite. Addressing people, especially higher ranked people was always done in a "Sir" way, thus "Herr". Only recently we see a shift in that as it gets more and more common to approach people here in a casual, eye-to-eye "You" way. Some older people used to and still take it VERY serious here if You don't use the "Herr, Frau, etc.." approach with them.

@@JustDaZack Thanks for your reply. I understand your logic, but am still a bit doubtful that German NCOs really ought to be addressed as "Mister". Over here, they ought only be addressed by their rank ("Corporal Bloggins", "Sergeant Smith") or their appointments ("Pipe Major McMurdo"). To your last sentence, my point was not that the form of address was too familiar, but that it was improper. For instance, "Madam" is a respectful/formal term of address, but it would be incorrect to address a man thusly. Anyhow, thanks for the playthrough. The game reminds me of "Help Will Come Tomorrow".

@@JustDaZack a little fact, the infamous Hun speech by Kaiser Wilhelm II was a bad misinterpretation of the Kaiser's speech by the British media which was elevated even further due to WW1.

It's nice to portray people with nuance. The German army in both world wars wasn't an Orcish horde of mindless warriors. They were people. There was honor and bravery, cowardice and cruelty. Some obeyed without question...others doubted the reasons that led them there. For a lot of them, their only sin was trusting their government.
