Very prettty bracelet. I just ordered a 1oz bottle of protectaclear yesterday to hive it a try then came across this turorial. I appreciate the detailed info you've provided here. Thank you. Also just an fyi, Everbrite has added on their site that 99% isopropyl alcohol is effective for cleaning your pieces before coating with protectaclear. Good news considering denatured alcohol isn't available in Canada. 👌

Thank you so much. I had given up on metals and started buying stainless steel. Even though I bought the jewelry metal sealers, they didn’t really work. This is truly a game changer. THANK YOU!

Thank you for sharing. 🤯 I've never heard of such a product before and I'm very interested. I've been a jewelry maker for 35+ years and have always worried about my pieces tarnishing after they are sold.

How did you know that I have been thinking about this and just bought something that was not nearly as good. I bought the protectaclear from your link, I hope you get a commission. I will be returning the inferior one that I bought ( glad I didn't open it - it is sitting frontand centeron my beading table) thanks for all of the great information.

Thank you Veronica ,for the very detailed information on sealing jewelry. I have the protectaclear and haven't begun the process of cleaning all the jewelry I've made. I like the empty nail polish bottles idea. Should I wear a mask when sealing in addition to gloves? Love your channel 😊 I'm now a new subscriber !
@prettyqoot57622 ай бұрын
You can wear them if you like, especially with the Denatured Ethanol. You can wear a mask if your area isn't the best ventilation. TY for watching ❤

Great video. I was also wondering, is there any particular reason for coating the beads and crystals. Where they wont tarnish, is this step absolutely necessary. Thank you ❤

I am new here and I also have the same question that Maria Rodriguez asked can we just do all the pieces right away and put it away and then just take it out and just use it as needed like all those crimps wouldn't they be easier and the shell to hang them on a wire to clean and do the metal protector also on them !!!❤❤❤God Bless you!!!just saying I don't know!!!Miss Rita stainless steel sounds good !!!❤❤❤
@PrettyQ-OOTJewelry-mu6gr2 ай бұрын
Yes. Absolutely! I do a lot of my sealing beforehand. Whatever and whenever is best for you. I hope this helps. Have a very blessed day 💛

I have watched both of your videos on the Everbrite ProtectaClear and I have to say it was the best I've seen (with so much detail) that spoke to coating and protecting jewelry from tarnishing. In a perfect world, we'd have better choices for non tarnish jewelry findings that were reasonably priced. :) I have been working with stainless steel, but most of what I see out there is an alloy or the gold plating on stainless steel doesn't last, as you noted. I do have a question. Have you tried curing the coating with a UV LED lamp? I researched this but couldn't find a good answer. Thank you for your time and the information you shared. 😊
@prettyqoot57622 ай бұрын
You may want to try a uv light. I haven't tried that yet. I'll try it soon and see what the result is. TY for watching ❤

Can we use one of the nail polish bottles for the alcohol so you can keep it handy and use the nail brush when you need it?

Thank you for all the information you shared in the video. You answered a lot of questions for me. I do have one more question. Some pieces are intricate and really difficult to get every nook and cranny coated with a brush. What about dipping those. Would the results be the same? I guess you’d hang them to dry?
@PrettyQ-OOTJewelry-mu6gr2 ай бұрын
I think dipping them would be fine. Just be sure to have all drippings out of the way and hang your pieces away from areas that may be too dusty or high traffic areas that would kick up dust and dirt. Thank you for your question and your viewing support. Much love ❤️ Veronica

Can you do a lot of pieces at a of the same thing and put them away for another time to use ahead of time so you don’t have to do this each time you plan to use them at that moment? For example if I coat a bunch of eye pins and store them in a plastic bag like I always do will that be okay? This way I would do all my components and store them until I use them
@PrettyQ-OOTJewelry-mu6gr2 ай бұрын
Oh, absolutely fot sure Maria. Thank you for your question. Just make sure they are dry before you store them in plastic bags. A half to full day should do. Have a blessed day ❤

Can you like pour a small amt of the alcohol and then just dump your pieces in… then proceed once the alcohol evaporates?
@PrettyQ-OOTJewelry-mu6gr2 ай бұрын
Good question. I prefer using cotton tips because the metals need to be rubbed a bit in order that the dirty residue gets removed. If you want to have a microfiber towel nearby instead of a cotton swab. Then yes. That is OK. I wouldn't recommend just dipping in the alcohol part of the cleaning process. Kinda like dirty dishes... They still need a little scrubbing 😉

Do you seal real carat gold plated, gold filled, and or sterling silver or do you just seal brass based plated items
@prettyqoot57622 ай бұрын
You can seal any metals you like, even gold. This will prevent smudges from fingerprint
@leigh93542 ай бұрын
Have you tried to dry the metals on those baking sheets that are non stick? I use those a good bit for paint and things so I wonder if that would work like the aluminum foil.
@PrettyQ-OOTJewelry-mu6gr2 ай бұрын
I have not tried that, but it sounds like a great idea. Thank you for your input. Have a very blessed day
