Physical healing Is part of the Atonement of Jesus, that’s why the word SOZO is translated as both SAVED and HEALED in the Bible - because the word means to be completely made whole, spiritually, emotionally and physically, NOT just spiritually. Romans 10:13 for just one example: whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord, shall be SOZO (saved). SOZO: (made completely whole - spiritually, emotionally, and physically) The Bible shows us healing is available for everyone who has been saved, because of His Atonement. 1) Healing is the children’s bread; (Matt. 15:22-28) 2) Jesus already healed us by His stripes (1 Peter 2:24). 3) Jesus healed everyone who was sick, in fulfillment of Isaiah’s prophesy that He took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses Matthew 8:16-17, (refers to Isaiah 53:4-5, the Atonement of Jesus). 4) The benefits of God is He forgiveness ALL our sins and heals ALL our diseases Psalm 103:3; Also, many are the afflictions of the righteous but God delivers them out of THEM ALL, Psalm 34:19 5) Healing is such a part of His atonement that Jesus healed a paralytic by forgiving his sins: “pick up your mat and walk, your sins have been forgiven”. Luke 5:20-25 Psalm 103:3, Luke 5:20-25, and James 5:13-15 all link physical healing with forgiveness of sin. Why? It’s part of salvation - of being made completely whole, spiritually, emotionally, and physically - SOZO - interchangeably translated in the Bible, as ‘saved’, and ‘healed’. The Hebrew in Isaiah 53:5 means: by His wounds, bruises, and stripes, we are made completely whole. Not partially whole, with just our sins forgiven, but made completely whole. One of the ways to be healed is when you thank Him and praise Him that you were already healed of your sickness 2,000 years ago, by Jesus’ stripes, and thus appropriate by faith what Jesus already provided. Kenneth Hagin came off his death bed as a teenager, by reading the Bible, and believing Mark 11:23-24, and acting on his faith. Another way is in James5:14-16 where we are promised: James 5:14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: Jas 5:15 And the prayer of faith SHALL save (SOZO) the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Jas 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. And Jesus promised that a sign that will follow those who believe, is their laying hands on the sick, and they will recover, in Mark 16:17-18.

Derek Prince also has a sermon and testimony on the healing power of God. He shows specific verses. I've had numerous health problems. I could barely even get out of bed. Sometimes for days. I am so much better now and can go to church and the grocery store again. Praise God and the blood of Jesus.

One thing I'd like to see change in preaching is a recognition that the Bible is not specifically the"Word" of God. When Paul said by the Holy Spirit that "faith comes by the hearing of the Word of God" and like scriptures, the original translation translates more accurately faith comes by Hearing God speak to us. Reading the Bible does not produce faith nor does reading it have any power to overcome. Seeking a relationship with God via, prayer, praise and worship and studing the scriptures creates an intimate connection, allowing us to hear Him clearly and what He speaks fills us with faith to overcome.

@@iampostal You cannot pick one part of scripture and judge it. You have to know the context of the story surrounding. It sounds like your just looking for a reason to not believe. You have to be open first to be able to hear the truth and then it will set you free. When your mind is already made up from the start, you will pick things like you did to try to disprove the Bible. It doesn't work that way. Gather facts, do research and then ask God to show you the truth, that's how we our answers.

People who continually think teasing and laughing at others is great...they are being directed by evil. I seem to not be able to isolate my life away from people looking to humiliate me for being who I am (people who don't know me) or who I was raised to be. It's strange, I am average in every way and people still use me for their amusement. What is most worrisome is not the attacks on me per say, but the fact that if they are this insensitive with average what are they like when confronted with people that have disabilities or deformities that are beyond their control? Where is their line? Do they even have one? It's one thing to laugh at a person who puts themselves up in front of an audience, it's another to laugh for self-pleasure and then say to yourself, "I didn't mean any harm." I had a man access my personal computer, see a picture I took of myself and then mimic the photo. The photo was innocent. I wanted to look cool with no understaning of cool. I had worked hard to lose a lot of weight 270 lbs. to 200 lbs. It was the first time I felt good about myself in a very long time. His response, it was pretty shameful, but he got his momentary happiness. What is this man going to do when one of his children come to him for advice and are suffering from the same behaviors he used to amuse himself? I have found that the quality of behaviors and thoughts we produce will inevitably return. This man's children will either forever remind him of how cruel he was as a young person, or he will get his children to act out the same behaviors that spread humiliation to unsuspecting and undeserving victims. Thank God for your teachings Preacher Evans because young people must learn that even innocent motivations can have huge consequences. I have since forgiven this man and the intrusion on my personal space, but I was 23 and I am now 34. The pain memory lasts much longer than anyone can imagine. People must repent for the harm they do and figure out a way to change. This is the only way we will all be freed from wrath.

I would love to give you some counsel on this because I know the kind of bondage the fear of man can put you in. God doesn't call us to isolate ourselves, so you can't try to hide from those who persecute you. We aren't cowards, we are courageous! Haven't you ever heard that people pick on those they know they can get a rise out of? Satan and his demons know your hot buttons and how to keep you in bondage to fear or depression. Words do hurt. Nobody wants to be humiliated and it's human nature to want to be accepted. But it doesn't seem odd to me that you keep having to deal with this, it seems like a very strategic plan of the enemy. He uses people to provoke and hurt you, because he can. Don't ask God to remove the hurtful or fearful situations from your life, ask him for courage and strength to overcome them! We all get persecuted, especially for our faith, so get used to it because that's not going away. However, God can give you the supernatural ability to not be affected by that persecution the same way. It's all about perspective. You allow teasing from others to haunt you, make you question your identity, and stay in fear, shame, and isolation. Satan's name is all over that! Change your perspective. I bet the person that made fun of you hasn't even thought about you again after all these years, but look at the haunting memory you have. Have the ability the laugh at yourself. When you are secure in who GOD says you are, things like that don't have the same affect anymore. Who are you? Is it who God says, or them? I will pray for you. Break free from this! The fear of man is a huge snare of Satan's.

Hi Kimberly. You are correct on both statements about the devil. In Ezekiel 28:11 to around verse 19 is one place God's word reveals the history of satan and in Matthew 4:1-10 exposes how satan knows but misuses scripture to deceive.

I see your point..heres my thoughts on the subject. If a nonbeliever has high moral standards and is at peace with himself...according to christianity, it doesn't matter!! He's still going to hell for simply being nonreligious. But someone can commit crimes against humanity and still go to heaven if he repents and believes in jesus. This is an example of rewarding the wicked and condemning the innocent. Christianity is a cult that uses fear to recruit members. I dont believe in their God or their devil...television preachers accuse nonbelievers as being followers of satan only because they cant make money off of them...they see nonbelievers as a threat to their scam..although they'll never admit it.

For salvation, people just need to follow the way they did it in Acts? They were baptized in the water and of the spirit. Here's why! The gospel is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. If we are to follow him, we must do the same thing. Death= repentance, Burial = baptism, and resurrection = being filled with the Holy Ghost and rising again from the dead. That's what Acts 2:38 is. We must obey the gospel, 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9, in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that OBEY NOT THE GOSPEL of our Lord Jesus Christ... Matthew 7:21-23, Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that DOETH THE WILL OF MY FATHER which is in Heaven. St John 3:3-5, EXCEPT a man, be born of WATER AND OF THE SPIRIT, he cannot enter into the kingdom of GOD. We can't come up with our own gospel. Galatians 1:8-9, But though we or an angel from heaven preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. Don't be cursed. One way for all people. Jews, Gentiles, and Samaritans. Our salvation has to match-up with the scriptures and no scriptures on the subject can be taken away. Eternity is TOOO long to be WRONG! st, John 5:39, Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. The gospels show what Christ has done on the cross for us. The book of Acts shows us the beginning of Christ's Church and how to enter the Church, obeying Acts 2:38. The letters were written to the Church to show us how to behave now that we are born again into the Church. It's better to walk alone than to walk with a crowd going in the wrong direction. Are we supposed to follow the teachings of the apostles? Acts 2:42, They continued steadfastly in the apostle's doctrines. Ephesians 2:20, We are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone. Jesus Christ was our perfect example back to God. He was baptized and received the Holy Ghost and we must be baptized and receive the Holy Ghost. He was holy and walked in righteousness and we must be holy and walk in righteousness. He died and rose again, and we must die to the things of this world and rise to walk in the newness of life. He prayed to the father showing us how to pray to the father. Jesus died on the cross for our sins so we can be forgiven. That's like a court room judge saying: your sentenced to death for your crimes, but I'll tell ya what. If you torture and kill my son, who's willing to die anyway, who's innocent of all wrong doings. I'll set you free. You see my problem with this??..its insane and immoral. Why couldn't God just forgive us outright??...nobody knows!!.. To this day, nobody has ever been able to explain this to me to where it makes sense. Your parameters are wrong. This is why it doesn’t make sense. I say this in love as a friend in Christ. You need to understand the reason from a bible’s perspective. Jesus is God. He knew that we were fallen. To save us, God required a perfect sacrifice. In the Old Testament the high priest would sacrifice a lamb. Jesus was the lamb. The ultimate sacrifice. The only one worthy enough to redeem us. He was all God. All man. His sacrifice was for all mankind. After him we no longer have to sacrifice animals. He paid it all. This is perfect love. God is perfect love. He now intercedes for us. This means he is our ultimate advocate. He pleads for us with the father. Bc he was perfect we can rest in his perfection in the sight of the Father. We are made perfect ONLY through him. Which is why there is no other way to heaven/to the Father but through him. You said you have a problem with this reasoning. That is bc from a world’s perspective (I.e. the logic of man) it cannot make sense. But God’s ways are not our ways. His ways are higher than ours. The Bible said there can be no redemption but through a perfect sacrifice. One that would bear the cost of sin for all of us. Only 1 man thru our entire history fits this bill...and his name is Jesus The Christ. Believing in him means receiving his gift of grace and redemption. And it is so simple. God made his perfect so easy to obtain. Yet, people waste it bc they are scared to make the conscious choice. This would mean they would have to give up the world. For some this is too much of a sacrifice. Receive Him. Believe in Him. When you do, you will know that He is the Truth. You will know that he is the Way. And it will set you free.
