What baptism is acceptable to the Orthodox Church these days? Would a baptism done by a woman Protestant or Anglican priest be ok if it was done with Emerson or sprinkling of water in the Holy Trinity? It seem Chrismation is the standard for adults entering the OCA.

I'm not EO member, but as far as I know it might be different for every jurisdiction. This makes me somehow realize that economia can also be seen as the way every jurisdiction does theological triage, such as done in Protestantism or theological notes in Roman Catholicism. In a sense, this allows the Church to vary in less fundamental doctrines.

Fr Rentel has a way to reach the heart of Pope Francis----RC Church has gone head long into uncanonical errors lately....last year it was idols of a Mayan deity in the vatican and recent civil union edict.

Αποστόλης Μ. One can twist cannon in order to circumvent scripture. For instance: Jesus said: 26 “Whoever is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.” Luke 9:26 If one uses the flexibility of cannon application to venerate icons, receive the blessing of the the lord in kissing the hand of the priest sharing one spoon etc... And makes this canonical exception for, “the sake of advancing the gospel” and approves of this practice due to public opinion of unbelievers during this COVID controversy. One has “ a fine way of setting aside the commands of God for the sake of his “tradition of canonical application ”

@@thevonschmittousvonschmitt8839 Sons of God have no fear of venerating Saints... for Christ Jesus dwells in them and they dwell in Him. (John 14,20) Deified human being is inseparable from God. Also... it appears that you do not read Bible... for it is said: (2 Cor 13) "12 Greet one another with a holy kiss." Sharing one spoon is prohibited where in the Bible.?

@@johnnyd2383 reread what I wrote you will find I’m in agreement with you. People try to use this line of thinking to justify heresy. I.e. not venerating the icons with a kiss or like the OCA teaching you can get sick from the Holy chalice
