Long before finding my path tow Orhodoxy I took a university course on music of the 20th century and as many will know much of this music is rather garish and devoid of beauty. But I'll never forget hearing the works of the "holy minimalists" such as Pärt and Tavener it was such a breath of fresh air.

Dr. Bouteneff's book, Out of Silence is very good. Whether or not you like the music of Arvo Pärt it is a marvelous book. I first heard Litany in the mid-90s, and that began my long conversation, and conversion to Orthodoxy.

Objections and concerns I've heard have to do with the rules revolving around women's bodies and normal bodily functions, and when miscarriages and still births happen. Someone here also commented about dressing modestly to control men's bad thoughts and behaviors. These are what I hear most, not things about how women serve in the church.

It would be really interesting to hear what Bishop Gerasim thinks are a few things modern readers get wrong or misunderstand about Fr. Seraphim. I’ve heard there’s a notable tone shift between his earlier writings and later ones.

A lot of larpers and conspiracy theorists, as well as schismatic sympathizers, like Seraphim Rose.
