just would like to clarify that not all filipinos would carry a knife around, but for sure you can easily find someone selling it. karambit is very common now. filipino people are gentle and kind. only robbers or those who got robbed would think of carrying a knife.

You'd be surprised that there are actually a majority in the Philippines are carrying a knife, blade or cutter, even at schools. Filipinos were traditionally, mostly focused on using tools, either on boats, farming, in the market, etc. Some rural areas already give their young children machetes and or pass down the "heirloom" to the next of kin, and teach him or her to be responsible. I don't know which part you are familiar with, but the Visayas and Mindanao region are like this.

I think it is also wrong to say only robbers and got robbed could possibly carry knife If you live in an area where there's a great possibility of violence and an lawful acts, then the possibility of people carrying a knife 8s higher But if you live inside a guarded subdivision then there is lesser need to carry one. Its not like your seeing robber Or a holes and you haven't think of protecting ur self at all 🤣

In short this martial art was created just to combat invading countries. I believe this was created just around 300 years ago to combat the spaniards. Its a collection of techniques which was able to kill spanish, american and japanese occupant and the fore fathers of pekiti tersia preserves each technique that successfully killed an enemy.

Hi to French country, Very good instructor !!! In Krav manga were are having a change with other club and in a simple exercise "360" and escaping i'm doing the "bad maghrébin criminal/terroriste" with a cut, and for the students it's impossible the maghrébin attack... The many students are blocked. And i'm killing 5 or 6 times the students... I'm speaking it's théâtral and doing the réel exercise 360 and escaping for survive but not impossibility to think. When the professor of this club looks this, he coming to speak to these students :

Tuhon Rommel est depuis l'âge de 20ans instructeur (tout comme certains des élèves de GT Leo T Gaje) de nombreuses unités militaires et police. Si c'était du vent ils ne le seraient pas.
