There are many different suggestions for how much protein you should eat to build muscle mass. Anywhere close to 1gram per pound is the best rule of thumb. I like to recommend slightly above that because I would normally see people struggle to hit their protein goal. If someone is trying to get a number slightly above the 1g/lb goal, they will usually be spot on with getting at least 1g/lb and I think thats a great spot to be at. Most recommendations are .8-1g per pound of bodyweight.
